“Farmers should look out for the ‘Farm Data Safe’ certification mark when sharing their data with others” Having worked in agriculture for over 30 years, Farm Data Principles' Dr Susannah Bolton, also Vice Principal for Enterprise and Knowledge Exchange at SRUC, understands the importance of farmers having full control of their own data. She says, “Transparent use of farm data is vital if we are going to leverage the value of data for the industry. Farmers should be confident that organisations handling their data who have signed up for Farm Data Principles certification are acting responsibly and recognise the farmer's data is the farmer's data." Dr Bolton will be discussing the Farm Data Safe certification scheme at the Connected Farming Conference on Tuesday 3rd December. Learn more and get your tickets here: https://loom.ly/VFCbkCo
