According to the World Health Organization, an alarming 99% of the global population breathes air that is harmful to their health. This issue, exacerbated by climate change, affects people worldwide, regardless of their geographic location. Last week, we hosted Clean Air Day at Haleon Switzerland, bringing together different communities to tackle air pollution challenges. The day highlighted several initiatives from our Otrivin brand focused on improving air quality and enhancing respiratory health through strong partnerships. Our commitment to improving everyday health is reflected in our initiatives like the Otrivin AIRbubble and the AIRoffice, both installed at Haleon Switzerland. The Otrivin AIRbubble uses microalgae to purify the air, turning pollutants into biomass, while the AIRoffice uses the same technology to enhance indoor air quality. According to the results from our 2023 Haleon Pain Index, almost 4 in 10 people reported that they felt talked down to or treated badly when discussing their pain with a doctor. This is higher for the LGBQ+ community, where it was felt by 5 in 10 people. Haleon’s ambition is to help break down the barriers to achieving better everyday health for everyone – irrespective of age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability and other factors. We’re taking action through several programmes such as our #ListenToPain programme, which supports health professionals to improve communication with patients and have a focused discussion on pain tailored to the individual. #haleon #pride

We’re proud to announce that our Middle East and Africa team has won an MMA Smarties Gold Award for their Panadol ‘Art of Release’ campaign. Panadol successfully created two interactive booths in Dubai UAE, where participants were asked to describe what relief from pain felt like. Artificial Intelligence was then leveraged to re-create how that moment might look or sound. During the campaign, thousands of personalised pieces of art were created for visitors to take home, which brought the essence of Panadol to life through the unique use of AI. #haleon #panadol #theartofrelease

44% of LGBQ+ people feared that others will make assumptions about them and their pain, compared to 32% of heterosexuals, according to the 2023 Haleon Pain Index. The Haleon Pain Index is a study of 18,097 people we conducted across 18 countries. The research has been exploring the real impact pain has on the lives of those experiencing it, for almost a decade. We’re working to remove the stigma surrounding people’s experience of pain, by equipping health professionals with tools, insights and training that help them understand patients’ lived experience #haleon #pride

We’re proud to announce the launch of the Haleon Health Trailer, in partnership with GlobalMedic (David McAntony Gibson Foundation), from their headquarters in Ontario, Canada. We believe that taking care of everyday health should be made easier, which is why this initiative focuses on providing self-care products and services to marginalised communities in Canada. Working with local community organisations, the trailer will visit shelters and refugee clinics to provide easy access to those who are most in need. We want people to feel more empowered to make decisions about better everyday health. #haleon

In 2022, we accomplished a significant milestone by launching Haleon, a world-leading consumer health company, and the new home for trusted brands such as Sensodyne, Panadol, and Centrum. Changing a company's name is a complex undertaking that involves more than just altering the name and logo. There are legal and regulatory aspects, alongside branding, and ensuring operational continuity.
