Project Update | All Saints Church Hall, Phase II We have begun works on Phase II of the remodel of the adjacent Grade II listed Church House which can now be reached from the Church via a new welcoming link which was built 3 years ago, creating a principle entrance and community annex. This time we will assist on the design of the internal renovation to All Saints Church House to create a community meeting area for the congregation and the residents of Ilkley. Project Completion | Before + Afters Our client bought a 1990's detached single storey bungalow and the brief involved a full internal strip out, modernising the layout and bringing it up to modern day standards. New doors and windows were installed throughout the dwelling with the introduction of minor works on the north facade to form a large, glazed area with sliding door that leads into the rear garden and the newly designed patio area. The project involved a full internal remodel of the bungalow with some walls being demolished to create a large open plan kitchen/dining and living space with a media wall and built in modern gas fireplace. There were further wall demolitions to create a large craft room which leads into the integral garage which has been fitted with one large garage door. Additional insulation was added to all external walls, roof and floor, and this combined with a new underfloor heating system, as well as the addition of 14 solar panels on the south and west roofline. All contributed to upgrading the bungalows sustainability credentials, reducing the home’s heat loss and energy consumption. Project Throwback | Bolling Road, Ilkley A client came to us with a plot of land within the Ben Rhydding Conservation area which had a single bungalow positioned on site. They wanted to demolish the bungalow to create space for two detached 3 story, 5 bedroom townhouses. Bolling Road is one of the main areas of activity in Ben Rhydding and many of the buildings retain a great deal of traditional character. The site is centrally located within the conservation area and surrounded by many buildings which make positive contributions to the conservation area, so it was essential that the proposed redevelopment respected the quality and character of those surroundings. A great result for The Spool House which is part of a site wide residential development for Spinning Acres in Headingley. Currently the newest residential property in the scheme which features a mix of 12 one-and-two-bedroom apartments. The Spool House, which has been built by local contractor Dobson Construction Ltd, is the fourth phase of Pickard Properties’ ambitious six-acre regeneration property. Project Completion | Harrogate Golf Club We have been a part of the reconfiguration and refurbishment of the South Façade of Harrogate Golf Club Clubhouse. The brief was to open up both the Dining Room and Lounge spaces with the use of newly implemented large sliding doors which open out onto the refurbished seated terrace area. Solar panels have been added to the roof and the former 'Spike Bar' was reconstructed to create a more welcoming entrance area, as well as a total refurbishment of the gents toilets.
