  • 🎶 The Power of Music in Early Parenting 🎶 Did you know that music can play a transformative role in the earliest days of parenting? This fascinating article from City, University of London, explores how musical care at the beginning of life can nurture connection, reduce stress, and support parents' mental health. We’re thrilled that Happity's co-founder, Emily Tredget (nee Pimm), contributed her insights to this discussion. Drawing from her own experiences and Happity’s work with parents across the UK. The study highlights how music can create a bond between parents and babies whilst also promoting a calming and supportive environment. Key takeaways from the article: 🎵 Music helps parents manage the emotional challenges of early parenting 👶 Singing and musical interaction strengthen the parent-baby bond, even in the newborn phase. 🤝 Community music groups provide vital social support for new parents, fostering connection and reducing isolation. At Happity, we’ve always believed in the power of connection, whether it’s through local baby classes, music groups, or other community activities. This research reinforces how important those small moments—like a lullaby or a music class—can be in shaping happy, healthy families. 💡 Read the full article to discover how music is changing lives at the beginning of parenting: https://lnkd.in/eVg--YiM What role has music played in your parenting journey? • Every Monday morning we come together at Happity and share what has been going on across the business from growth to customer service, partnerships to new business as well as just catching up with our colleagues, essential for a fully remote team. One of the interesting topics today was our continued growth on TikTok, especially the fact we are engaging with a younger parent audience. If you haven't checked out our TikTok head on over and give us a follow. https://lnkd.in/eEJ39Hdg #startup #growthlever #tiktok #customerengagement #marketing #partnerships

  • 🌟 The Future of Parenting: Adapting to a New Era 🌟 Parenting is evolving faster than ever, and The Bump's Future of Parenting Report highlights some of the incredible shifts shaping how families navigate their world today. From embracing technology-driven solutions to redefining what support networks look like, parents are finding new ways to thrive. At Happity, we see these changes reflected every day in how parents connect, learn, and grow together. Some key takeaways from the report that resonate with us: 1️⃣ Community is Everything: Parents are seeking authentic, supportive spaces—whether online or offline. Happity’s focus on local baby and toddler classes helps foster real-life connections in a world that’s increasingly digital. 2️⃣ Tech as a Parenting Ally: Apps and platforms are empowering parents with tools to make life easier, whether it’s finding activities for little ones, managing schedules, or accessing resources on-the-go. 3️⃣ Flexibility is Key: The modern family thrives on adaptability—from hybrid work options to tailored solutions for childcare and learning. As we continue to support families across the UK, we’re inspired by these trends and excited to be part of the movement shaping the future of parenting. 💡 How do you see parenting changing in the future? We’d love to hear your thoughts! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ejaczKP9 #FutureOfParenting #ParentingTrends #HappityCommunity #ModernFamilies #ConnectionMatters

I always love calling someone to tell them the good news that they've been successful in getting a job here with us at Happity! 🎉 It brings such a warm fuzzy feeling hearing that joy emanating down the phone line! What's not so much fun is letting those who haven't been successful know - and with a WHOPPING 3.5K applicants 🤪 - that's been a lot of people. I've been blown away by not just the volume of applicants, but by the quality of applicants too. I put this down to the fact that Sara Tateno and I, along with the rest of the team at Happity, have worked hard to ensure the way we do business works. And it clearly shows that we've got this right given the numbers applying to join our team! We provide flexible, part-time, remote roles which benefits not just parents (who are the majority of people who apply for roles with us, but by no means all!) but also the non-parents who work for us. This is hugely important to us - and one of the key reasons we won the Startups 100 DEI Award in 2023. Because everyone appreciated flexibility. And that means that we can pick TOP people from those who apply. People who are not just brilliant at what they do, but that love what we do as a company too. People that make Happity an even better place to be. We've finished reviewing CVs now, but if you might like to join us in future please sign up to our jobs list: www.happity.co.uk/jobs

  • 🌟 Helping Parents Find Connection: Happity Featured in Canvas8 Report 🌟 We’re thrilled to see Happity featured in the latest Canvas8 report, highlighting how social apps are helping mums find friendship and community. Co-founded by Emily Tredget (nee Pimm) and Sara Tateno, Happity was born out of their own experiences with loneliness and postnatal depression. Today, it’s become a lifeline for parents across the UK, connecting them to local baby and toddler classes and creating supportive networks. 💡 Key Insights: 📲 Parenting apps like Happity are combating isolation by building hyper-local connections and offering personalised experiences. "With 70% of UK mums saying they expected more support from society than they received, local in-person connections are vital to combat loneliness" (Canvas8) 🏡 "Local Experts are typically new parents in a particular local area with insider knowledge on “which classes are on where, where’s great to breastfeed, and which parks are best.” Emily Tredget - we are empowering parents with insider knowledge to build trust and a sense of community. 🫀 At its core, Happity is about breaking down barriers, normalising the struggles of parenthood of which there are many, and creating spaces where parents feel seen and supported. 📈 As demand for authentic, parent-led platforms grows, we’re proud to lead the way in creating real-world connections and helping parents thrive. Get in touch if you want to learn more about working with Happity or joining our community. https://lnkd.in/e7Ngw7CV #Happity #ParentingCommunity #LonelinessSupport #ConnectionMatters #HappityInTheNews #ParentingApps

It was so much fun to reconnect with my former colleagues at Happity team and deliver a webinar tailored to their community of wonderful children’s activity providers. While the live event has passed, Happity members can still access the recording – but don’t worry if you missed it! Just drop me a line if you would like support with creating the perfect agreements and contracts for your business. Whatever type of childcare or activity that you run here’s how I can help: 📄 Drafting bespoke Terms and Conditions tailored to your business model. 🤝 Creating Service Provider Agreements that set clear expectations with customers or collaborators. 💬 Ongoing HR support for Employer or Franchise models If you'd like to feel more confident in your policies and agreements, let’s chat!
