Did you know 70% of Harris academies are rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, compared to just 17% nationally? That is more than any other Trust or LEA. And not only that, 100% of our academies are rated 'Good' or above, compared to 89% of schools nationally. This is a huge achievement and only possible thanks to our continuously brilliant and hard working staff across the Federation. For all of our students, but especially the most disadvantaged, the quality of education at Harris really is life changing. We are thrilled to share that our alumni network, Harris Futures, has been awarded Engagement Campaign of the Year in the IDPE 2024 Development Awards. The IDPE exists to enable schools to develop cultures of engagement and philanthropic support and the award we have won recognises successfully strengthening relationships within school communities. Harris Futures was launched just over a year ago and is creating opportunities for our former students to reconnect with their academies and each other. Former students are role models for and supporters of the next generation of Harris students and it has been so wonderful to see so many alumni back in their academies over the past year. From a standing start, we have been delighted to thousands of alumni getting back in touch. That’s a wrap on our 2024 Harris Federation conference! 🎉 Truly a highlight of the Harris calendar, bringing the whole Federation (over 5,000 staff from 55 academies and Head Office) together at Excel London to recognise everyone’s hard work and achievements from the last year 🌟 We took part in a wide-range of workshops, listened to some inspirational speakers, and were treated to incredible performances from the talented students in our cross-Federation choir and concert orchestra, Harris in Harmony 🎵 A huge thank you to our staff, partners, speakers, students, and event organisers who all played their part in today’s success. Well done everyone! More and more families in our 55 academies are living in poverty.    At its most extreme, 80% of children at Harris Primary Academy Peckham were classified as homeless.   To help this, we've set up Community Hubs in every Harris primary academy. Our Hubs provide a safe, discrete, and dignified place for families if they need support or access to items like groceries, toys, books, and pre-loved school uniforms.   We have been delighted with how many donors, friends, and corporate partners have contributed - whether it's by giving their time, volunteering, or donating items like nappies and children's shoes.    A donation of £100 would make a real and tangible difference; a donation of £1,000 would support families at one of our Hubs for an entire year.
