It’s been a few days since we returned from UNFINISHED, and what an incredible experience it was! The team did a fantastic job curating a diverse group of fascinating thinkers and practitioners across various industries. But most impressive of all were the connections people made there! In our session, we discussed Play as Practice and thoroughly enjoyed sharing challenges faced by creative entrepreneurs as their practices evolve. We also shared some of the most playful examples from our own practice at Hirsch & Mann. Timmy Ghiurau, a guru of eye-tracking and helping machines (and perhaps some humans?!) understand human emotions, and Daniel Hirschmann engaged in a discussion moderated by Lauren Celenza (stay tuned for a future podcast episode!). Some other notable talks we enjoyed include: • Jason Silva and his unbelievable energy and ability to craft thought-inspiring narratives. • Barbara Soalheiro and the amazing work her company Mesa does, solving complex challenges in just 5 days. • Ben Okri whose reflections and poetry beautifully closed the event. • Grace Boyle & Guillem Perutxet Olesti's robotic performance that CNC’d the form of a baby out of a huge salt crystal. • Bethany Koby's insights into the ways children develop. 🫶 A huge thank you to the UNFINISHED team, particularly Capucine Gros, Cristian Movila, and Patricia Grigorescu.
