Today, Elizabeth Simon AIEMA will be delivering a free 1 hour CPD training session as a webinar for Shrewsbury Colleges Group. Engaging with Midlands-based employers, it will focus on the construction and automotive sectors, but is available for anyone to attend. This is the first of two events that we have planned. It's a great opportunity to speak with industry and to explore the opportunities that live and planned hydrogen projects bring to business in the region. Today, Andrew Thomas, Programme Manager for Hydrogen Safe, will be heading to the 4theRegion Green Economy Conference and Exhibition 2024. The event focuses on co-creating regional resilience for South West Wales. There is a jam-packed agenda, starting from 9.30am right through to 5pm. Sessions include: 📗 Opening session with updates from Local Authorities, regional projects, leading businesses and groups of school children. 📗 More than 100 exhibitors connecting with regional businesses, community organisations, and changemaking projects. 📗 Sustainable construction showcase for networking. 📗 Decarbonisation workshop with Marten Lewis from Bluestone Resort and Jack O'Shea of Milford Haven Port Authority. 📗 Afternoon session to focus on Renewable Energy Region with Luciana Ciubotariu and Circular Economy Innovation with Andy Rees PhD, OBE from the Welsh Government. 📗 Sustainable Construction Skills and Training, discussing how local businesses and individuals can gain the skills needed for the growing eco-construction and energy retrofit sectors. We are excited to share that some of our team are heading down to Stockport for a visit with our strategic partner, International Gas Detectors Ltd.
