During November, ICAEW's Professional Standards Department came together to create Christmas bags filled with presents for those who might otherwise not receive anything this Christmas. We donated 9 bags to Dunlem's delivering joy campaign. Thanks to Dunelm for running this fantastic initiative and enabling us to support our Milton Keynes community, and thank you to all of our colleagues who participated. #icaewRegulation

Protecting the public by ensuring ICAEW regulated firms and members retain the highest standards of professional conduct
About us
ICAEW is a world-leading improvement regulator We act in the public interest by making sure ICAEW firms, members, students and affiliates maintain the standards expected by the profession, oversight regulators and government. ICAEW’s regulatory and disciplinary role is independent of membership activities so that we can monitor, support or take steps to ensure change if standards are not met. This role is managed by the Professional Standards Department and overseen by the independent ICAEW Regulatory Board.

This uplift in thresholds is part of a drive to reduce the reporting burden (as well as taking account of the impact of inflation). The impact will be significant for organisations moving into the small entities regime, but bear in mind that the new thresholds only apply for periods commencing on or after 6 April 2025 so there is plenty of time to discuss the implications with your clients. More clients may be able to take exemption from the requirement to have a statutory audit of their annual accounts, but in most cases this will be for years ending 30 April 2026 and beyond. New regulations increasing company size thresholds and removing certain requirements from the Directors’ Report will be effective from April 2025. Read more: https://ow.ly/sPMz50UpNZj #icaewDaily #accounting
