Vulnerability fixes. 🛠️ The 2025 changes to the Cyber Essentials Requirement for IT Infrastructure include a few adjustments to some definitions, made necessary by innovations to technology. 🖥️ Under the control 'security update management', the description that used to be ‘patches and updates’ will be changed to ‘vulnerability fixes’ as an umbrella term for all the different methods. This includes: 🩹 Patches 🆕 Updates 🪛 Registry fixes ⚙️ Configuration changes 👨💻 Scripts 🔨 Any fix provided by the vendor Although the next annual update will not ‘go live’ until April 2025, we have created guidance to explain this change. 📖 👉 https://lnkd.in/gBR9wSTM

Celebrating a decade of Cyber Essentials! 🎉 We're proud to be a certification body for the scheme, which has now seen the issuing of almost 190,000 certificates. Last month, the House of Lords was alive with enthusiasm as industry leaders, government officials, and cyber security enthusiasts came together to celebrate a decade of #CyberEssentials. 🎉 The event was not only a celebration of past achievements, but a glimpse into the exciting future of the scheme and how it must continue to adapt and innovate to help protect against the evolving cyber threat landscape. The National Cyber Security Centre have published a blog marking the milestone, and recognising all the Certification Bodies and Cyber Advisors who make the existence of the scheme a reality: "In particular, I’d like to recognise our network of incredible Certification Bodies and Cyber Advisors without whom, we wouldn’t have a scheme.
