📈 Grateful for an Inspiring Mentorship Session from IFoA Foundation🔔
On Tuesday October 29th, 2024, I had the privilege of attending the IFOA Foundation's first mentorship session, expertly led by Bradley Shearer from Protagion - Active Career Management.
The session, which ran from 5 PM to 6 PM UK time (8 PM to 9 PM in Kenya), focused on the critical aspects of active career management within the actuarial field.
During this insightful hour, we explored several key topics:
1. Actuarial Practice Areas and Skills📌
📎We delved into the various domains within actuarial practice, including insurance (general, life, and health), pensions, finance, investment, banking, and risk management.
📎The discussion highlighted the importance of embracing technology and sustainability to thrive in our careers.
