IMCA inaugural Meet the Member Event at Vung Tau held today was a success. We had over 30 participants from member companies in SGN, KUL, SIN and BKK attend this event. We updated members on current news from IMCA and had a good engagement and feedback from our members.. Quote from a member: "Our business have grown since we became IMCA member as Client see quality and safe delivery of projects" We have presently 8 member companies in Vietnam and we do hope to increase this by another 3 by this year end with the support and recommendation from our existing members. We at IMCA strive to bring value to our members thru such events and avail opportunities to network and share knowledge. Darren Brunton Chair of Asia Pac Regional Committee - thank you for co- hosting and making it to Vung Tau despite your heavy schedule.

🌱 Last week IMCA partnered with Carma, working with five British Armed Forces veterans to plant 1,500 trees at St Crispin’s Farm in Newbury, Berkshire. It was the perfect end to a two-day team-building event where we honed IMCA’s strategy for the year ahead. Carma chose a ‘Saxon mix’ of native species to plant that would thrive in the clay based soil, create a strong windbreak, and improve drainage and soil quality. These trees will grow into new hedgerows that will mature into thriving ecosystems, offering a sustainable habitat for birds and other wildlife, contributing to the farm's commitment to environmental stewardship and enhancing the natural beauty of the area. We were delighted to partner with Carma, a social enterprise that’s committed to making a positive difference for people and the planet, with a focus on delivering meaningful environmental and social benefits 👇 ➡️Support for veterans: ▪️ Carma creates employment opportunities for veterans through hands-on, nature-based work that provides both purpose and professional development. ▪️ This initiative helps veterans transition into meaningful careers while contributing to larger environmental goals. ➡️Rewilding and biodiversity: ▪️ Carma plants native trees, which play a vital role in enhancing biodiversity and supporting ecosystems. ▪️ This ensures a net biodiversity gain while restoring natural habitats across the UK and beyond. ➡️And, of course, tree planting is a powerful tool for combating climate change. Many thanks to Jim Holland and the Carma team for an excellent day!

🌱 Yesterday IMCA had a fantastic day planting 1,500 trees with Carma at St. Crispins Farm in Newbury. A huge thank you to James Bywater who welcomed us to his farm, along with Carma's team of amazing veterans! We thoroughly enjoyed the day and can't wait to see how the hedgerows grow in the years to come. #IMCAint
🌞 The sun always shines on the righteous... or tree planters! 🌳✨ Yesterday, @Carma teamed up with IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) to plant an incredible 1,500 trees near Bucklebury in West Berkshire! 🌲🌿 Despite starting at a chilly -2°C, spirits were high as our team of 31 was warmly welcomed by retired GP James Bywater, who had bacon butties ready to fuel us for the day. 🥓☕ We were honoured to have five veterans join us, including Steven Mccann, Steve Masters, and the mighty Paul Webb (codename 'Spider'). It's always inspiring to work alongside these legends! 🇬🇧💚 After a quick brief, we got to planting and made quick progress, even pausing to enjoy some hot soup 🍵 for lunch. James gave us an insightful overview of St Crispins Farm, a thriving organic orchard producing delicious apple juice, cider, and vinegar. 🍎🍏 By the end of the day, we had achieved so much: a stronger bond with nature, meaningful team building, and a tangible net biodiversity gain. 🌍 🌳 Everyone left with smiles, muddy boots, and a sense of accomplishment. These events are truly a win for all—people, nature, and the planet. 🌿💪 If you'd like to join us on one of these amazing days, drop me a line! #TreePlanting #Sustainability #TeamBuilding 🌍 #VeteransSupport #NetBiodiversityGain 🌿 #GreenAction #OrganicFarming 🍎 #MakingADifference #Carma
