The 5th Libya Energy Week has officially kicked off with Mr. Farhat Bengdara, Chairman of Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC), announcing that Libya plans to launch a new oil and gas exploration bid round by the end of this year. This will mark the country’s first bid round since 2008, featuring 11 offshore and 11 onshore blocks for gas and crude oil exploration. The bidding round is set to be officially announced before the end of the year! Libya’s oil production, including condensates, currently exceeds 1.4 million barrels per day.
