We’re here Teesside University at the Caring Better Together: Nursing and Midwifery Conference. We’re looking forward to talking innovation to South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust staff. Health innovators from the North East and North Cumbria are being urged to submit their bright ideas to an annual awards competition. The Bright Ideas in Health Awards are now open for entries across ten categories, including awards that recognise: innovative devices; industry collaboration; clinical education; patient safety; innovation champions; digital innovation; sustainability; reduction of healthcare inequalities; women’s health; and research for local health needs. Organised by Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria (HI NENC), the awards, which as part of the University Hospitals Tees South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is proud to sponsor, are open to individuals and teams from across the NHS, including those in primary and secondary care, universities, and regional businesses and organisations working within the health sector. It's free to enter and winners will receive a cash prize and support from innovation experts at the HI NENC to progress their ideas. The submission deadline is the 31st July 2024. We are pleased to announce that as of 1st April our new Director of Innovation at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is Dave Ferguson. Dave is also a Consultant in Paediatric Orthopaedics and Limb Reconstruction and an Honorary Associate Teesside University.
