  • Today is the day! #ThisLittleGirlIsMe is back! 🎉 We’re excited to kick off this empowering campaign for #InternationalDayoftheGirl2024. Today, thousands of women are sharing their hopes, dreams, and advice, making a real impact on the next generation. Our research shows that 92% of girls feel more inspired about their careers and futures after hearing these stories. To join the movement, simply post a picture or video of yourself as a child with the advice you'd give your younger self. Don’t forget to tag us and spread the word! You have until 11th October. Let’s inspire together. ✨ #InspiringGirls #InternationalDayoftheGirl

“Instead of being the best immediately - remember that skills are there to be developed.” Oxford University PHD graduate, teacher and Psychology expert Dr. Alix Hibble shares her thoughts on the high pressures young people face today, particularly on girls, to be perfect. As an expert in her field, she shares how working together and leaning into our strengths as women - in particular our empathy and emotional bonding skills, can lift us all up. She reminds us that “a rising tide lifts all ships,” and when we support each other, we all have a better chance to thrive. Becoming a role model for Inspiring Girls is one way you can make a meaningful difference and help bring global equality closer to reality. By sharing our journeys and insights with young women around the world, we can empower the next generation. • Great Leaders ✨ Snippets from the second leadership workshop at Central Foundation Girls' School, as part of the Dream Gap project in partnership with Barbie ®! 😍 This time, 30 girls in Year 9 explored what it means to be a great leader and discovered their unique leadership styles. Through engaging, interactive exercises, they reflected on their aspirations and built on the goals they’ve set for their future. 💪 We’re so excited to see these girls grow in confidence, expand their ambitions, and step into leadership roles, both inside and outside of school! 🙌🏽 Stay tuned for the third and final workshop happening next month! 🔥 #InspiringGirls #DreamGap #Barbie #Leadership Saiqua Zaneb Jess Bannister

  • What does it take to thrive in the world of tech? 🤔 45 girls from Years 9-12 at Saracens High School, part of Saracens Multi-Academy Trust all studying tech-related subjects, had the opportunity to find out during an inspiring Tech Talk delivered by three incredible role models from BlackRock! 🙌🏽 Alla Bykova - Vice President and Florentina-Stefania Mardar - Analyst (supported by Keiko Kimura - Director), shared their journeys as women in the tech space at BlackRock, shedding light on their experiences, challenges, and achievements in this dynamic industry. 💻 The girls gained valuable insights into the skills and mindset needed to succeed in tech, asked thought-provoking questions and walked away with plenty of inspiration to fuel their own ambitions! 🙋🏽♀️ A huge thank you to Alla, Keiko, and Fia for giving their time so generously and for being such fantastic role models. It was great to plan this meaningful activity as part of my employability curriculum development brief on behalf of Barnet Education & Learning Service (BELS). Thank you to Inspiring Girls UK for your collaboration to enable this to happen.

Representatives from the BlackRock Women in Tech committee were welcomed into Saracens High School, part of Saracens Multi-Academy Trust to deliver a presentation on behalf of Inspiring Girls UK. The committee seek to collaborate, be advocates for - and strive to inspire and empower - women to pursue and excel in tech careers. The Project Manager and Application Developer who joined us delivered an interesting presentation to female Computer Science students. The girls learnt about the presenters' respective roles, key skills needed and other careers within Tech. They shared their own career journeys and highlighted different progression routes into the sector. We were happy to be joined by good friend of the school Tracy Parrott. If you have skills and experience you'd like to share with our pupils please contact Anit Popat or Femi Olufola to learn more about opportunities at Saracens High School.

During a month where the world stage felt upside-down, I found balance by returning to my happy place—volunteering with an incredible group of young women and teaching them about the power of female leadership. I’ve now visited this school multiple times and on every visit I am struck by the confidence and resolve of these 13 year old girls! 💪 How do you reground and find your sense of purpose? #inspiringgirls
