About us
InsuranceERM.com is a media service that went live in November 2008 and has since established itself as an indispensable source of information on all aspects of risk and capital management in the insurance industry. The industry is undergoing rapid change, caused by the financial crisis, regulatory reform and competitive pressures. The key issue underlying the health of the industry is its management of risk and the amount of capital it allocates against this. Yet till now there have been very few sources of regular and detailed information in this area. InsuranceERM.com fills this gap. Here you'll find the whole range of related issues covered comprehensively - from enterprise risk management, Solvency II, capital planning, asset/liability management, risk governance, actuarial systems, software, regulation and supervision to market risks, investment risk, longevity risk, operational risk and catastrophe risk.

💡🌍☂️ InsuranceERM's 12th annual 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 & 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗔 conference wrapped up last week after a thought-provoking day that featured hundreds of risk leaders sharing their insights on enabling and supporting growth in the insurance industry. From the rise of new emerging risks, digitalization, and AI, to the instability caused by geopolitical events and climate transition risks, things are never quiet for insurers. These topics were all top of mind during this year’s discussions, alongside managing the heightened exposure to regulatory and compliance risks and much more. Over 70% of the delegates who attend this conference are from re/insurers and regulators, with one in two attendees being Chief Risk Officers, Chief Investment Officers, Chief Actuaries, Chief Sustainability Officers, and other C-suite executives, making this the most senior event in the insurance risk world. 📷 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘆: https://lnkd.in/dEs4DVyU 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀: Alex Duncan, Alex Hindson, Ashley McMillan, Aurore Lecanon, Charlotte Davey, David Otudeko, David Smith,Evangelos Avramakis, Dr. Martha Phillips, Edward Mishambi, Enrico Piccin, Fabrice Brossart, Fausto Parente, Giles Fairhead, Hanna Kam, Helen Cooper, Helen McKee, Justin P. A great start to the 12th annual InsuranceERM EMEA conference with leading CROs sharing their thoughts on enabling and supporting growth in the insurance sector, but also the short and longer term impact of the current geopolitical risk landscape. Fully aligned with Aurore Lecanon on the "growing safely" mindset, understanding *why* insurers want to grow together inform the *how*. Hanna Kam also emphasised the need to understand the evolving population and need of customers to avoid resting on your laurels, especially when you are a market leader. Uncertainty and evolving equilibrium between superpowers, protecting national interests and their impact on customers have also been hot topics for the second panel, where Fabrice Brossart flagged the risk of Lloyd's not being able to access US business as easily and the impact on the market as a whole. #IERMIRC #CRO #Insurance Wan Hsien Heah

"The value of risk management is the diversity of thought". My route into a risk division, was not a usual path and imposter syndrome has been a constant companion recently. However hearing this statement at the beginning of the conference was exactly what I needed to hear. Risk management is about taking information and making an informed decision and without diversity of thought, your decisions will never be fully considered. Thanks for having me InsuranceERM, it's been a long day but a very worthwhile one!
