One of our favourite outings in 2024 was going to the Audio Developer Conference event in Bristol. Connecting with two of the things that are at the heart of what we do and why we do it – audio and music tech, and the people who innovate, create and develop it. It was great to step away from the business ‘day to day’ and spend time updating on the latest trends in audio tech development and meet some of the companies and individuals pioneering in audio design and music production. From neuroscientists, to record producers, coders to business founders, there was a packed programme enjoyed by a diverse and international group of in person attendees gathering in the west of England in November as well as a wider online community. After a whirlwind of a last few months which has taken us to Amsterdam, New York, Paris and Las Vegas as we all look forward to a few days of relaxation at home or with family, we look back at the interesting day we spent at the Audio Collaborative event in London in early November hosted by Futuresource Consulting. As this year’s Live Design & LDI Tradeshow wraps up, we’re looking back on a whirlwind of innovation, connection, and a little bit of Vegas magic. The West Hall once again provided a perfect backdrop for some stunning booths and impressive rigging that reached new heights (literally). LED screens and floors were everywhere - bigger, brighter, and bolder than ever. Special shoutout to Ravi Jakhotia, the DJ Drummer, for bringing great energy to ELATION Lighting’s booth - now that’s how you make an impression! The later show dates, paired with the excitement of F1, the National Rodeo Finals, and Cowboy Christmas, gave this year’s LDI a unique, dynamic vibe.
