InterInvest exists to drive LGBT+ equality and inclusion across the investment industry
About us
InterInvest is made up of LGBT+ people and allies that work in the investment industry, who care about the LGBT+ experience in investment. Our network of investment peers also forms part of the LGBT+ workstream of the Diversity Project. We know LGBT+ people work in every part of our industry; we exist to drive LGBT+ equality and inclusion across the UK industry, and support similar initiatives globally. We have four key aims which are to: • Provide a welcoming space for members to discuss LGBT+ issues in the context of the industry; • Share best practice within the industry, and enable firm-to-firm collaboration to provide support to in-house LGBT+ networks; • Encourage and shape LGBT+ inclusion across the industry; Attract and retain LGBT+ talent into the industry; • Engage allies and promote allyship, drawing upon other intersectional networks with similar experiences. We are committed to ensuring the investment industry is one that welcomes, includes and celebrates its LGBT+ colleagues.

Reflecting on an Incredible Year Last night, InterInvest LGBT+ equality and inclusion gathered for an intimate End of Year Retrospect at M&G plc celebrating a year of growth, progress, and resilience. As the first industry LGBTQ+ network in the asset management and savings industry, this was more than just a showcase of our achievements it was a testament to the power of community and the impact of driving change through an intersectional lens, steeped in culture and shared values. One of the evening’s highlights was the launch of our new logo. Designed by the fantastic team Teamspirit - it is bold, dynamic, and fluid, perfectly capturing the essence of who we are. Each curve and color represents the diversity of our network individuals with unique identities, perspectives, and views, all connected by a shared purpose to foster inclusivity, pride, and positive change. The evening also highlighted the incredible contributions of our members, whose dedication has transformed ideas into tangible progress for the LGBTQ+ community and beyond. From creating inclusive spaces to influencing meaningful conversations, this network has not only championed visibility but also actively shaped a more equitable future for all. As we step into a new year, I’m filled with pride and gratitude for what we’ve accomplished together and inspired by the endless possibilities that lie ahead. Here’s to building on this momentum and continuing to break barriers, challenge norms, and make a difference. Thank you to our lovely members and guest who made last night! Honoring Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR) 2024 Today, November 20th, we pause to honor Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day dedicated to remembering transgender and gender-diverse individuals whose lives were lost due to anti-trans violence. This year, at least 375 trans and gender-diverse people were reported murdered globally a stark reminder of the persistent dangers faced by this community. Trans women, especially Black and Latinx trans women, remain disproportionately affected by this violence . In the United States alone, 31 transgender individuals have been confirmed as victims of fatal violence so far in 2024. Many of these incidents reflect systemic issues such as racism, sexism, and poverty, highlighting the urgent need for action and accountability . Let us use this day not only to mourn but to commit to creating a safer, more inclusive world. Advocate for trans rights, challenge discrimination, and support organisations like Trans in the City working tirelessly to raise funding and working in partnership with many Organisations to protect the most vulnerable in our communities. #TransDayOfRemembrance #TDoR
