About us

Pride in London provides a platform for every part of London’s LGBTQ+ communities (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, queer, questioning, intersex, non-binary, asexual, polysexual, genderqueer and gender variant people) to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ issues and campaign for the freedoms that will allow them to live their lives on a genuinely equal footing. The Pride in London 2025 Parade Day will take place on Saturday, 5th July and celebrates all aspects of the LGBTQ+ community. At Pride in London, our solidarity is a commitment to amplify, advocate, and act to ensure a safer and more inclusive world for the LGBTQ+ community. On International Human Solidarity Day, we stand with our global LGBTQ+ family: with refugees and asylum seekers fleeing persecution; with our BIPOC siblings facing the intersectional impact of racism and discrimination; with the trans and non-binary community, and in particular with trans youth here in the UK, who are navigating significant challenges amidst rising anti-trans rhetoric. We stand with activists defending LGBTQ+ rights and with those impacted by war, understanding the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ people in these situations. Finally, we stand with all LGBTQ+ people experiencing mental health challenges – may our community always be a sanctuary of safety, support, and acceptance. 🤍🩷🩵🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 Solidarity is for all who face adversity, for all who champion equality, and for all who believe in justice. Let’s remember that our strength lies in standing together – solidarity inspires us to break down barriers, build bridges between communities, and work towards creating a world where everyone belongs. #PrideinLondon #InternationalHumanSolidarityDay #LGBTQ+ #Equality

  • On International Migrants Day, we celebrate all LGBTQ+ people from around the world who call London home. Many continue to leave their home realities in search of a place where they can live openly, love freely, and express their true selves without fear. As we acknowledge the resilience and courage of all LGBTQ+ migrants, who leave behind everything familiar to start anew, we recognise their contributions to shaping London into the diverse and vibrant city it is today. 🌈♡ At Pride in London, we continue to work towards equality, visibility, and inclusion, so that everyone can feel safe and welcomed, regardless of where they come from or who they love, and can thrive in our city by being their authentic selves.🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️✨ #PrideinLondon #InternationalMigrantsDay #Equality #Inclusivity #Diversity #London #LGBTQ+

  • This International Human Rights Day, Pride in London stands united with human rights defenders worldwide. The UN theme "Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now" embodies the very principles that have driven our organisation's mission since its inception. The LGBTQ+ movement has always been, at its core, a human rights movement. From Stonewall to the present day, our community's struggle for dignity, equality, and recognition exemplifies why human rights aren't just abstract concepts – they're the building blocks of a more inclusive society. In 2024, while we celebrate progress, we're witnessing concerning global trends. Several countries are experiencing rollbacks in LGBTQ+ rights, and hate crimes continue to rise. These challenges remind us that human rights aren't guaranteed – they require constant vigilance and active defence. As the UK's largest Pride event, we remain resolute in our conviction that LGBTQ+ rights are human rights. We're committed to being that "preventative, protective, and transformative force for good" that this year's theme emphasises. Through our year-round community work, advocacy, and our annual celebration, we continue to create spaces where everyone can live authentically and safely. Looking ahead, we know that silence in the face of discrimination is not an option. Whether it's speaking up against hate speech, supporting our trans siblings, or standing in solidarity with LGBTQ+ people facing persecution worldwide – our actions today shape the world we'll inhabit tomorrow. We call on everyone to join us in recommitting to human rights as the cornerstone of our work. Together, we can build that peaceful, equal, and sustainable future we all deserve – not as a distant dream, but right now. #PrideinLondon #HumanRightsDay #Equality #LGBTQplus

On celebrating Pansexual and Panromantic Pride Day, let’s honour the authenticity and individuality of our Pansexual and Panromantic siblings and reflect on their contributions to the LGBTQ+ community. 🩷💛💙 By embracing sexual and/or romantic attraction to people of all genders – including non-binary, genderfluid, genderqueer, and agender individuals – pansexuals and panromantics invite us to reflect on the evolution of gender and the norms that have shaped its definition across cultures and history. Pansexuals and panromantics transcend gender-related societal impositions and promote a more inclusive view of humanity. Here’s to honouring diversity and empowering people to live authentically. 🌈✨ #PrideinLondon #panpride #LGBTQplus

  • A powerful milestone: 20 years since Parliament passed the Civil Partnership Act, and 19 years since the first same-sex couples could officially register their partnerships. December 5, 2005 marked the day when countless couples finally gained legal recognition of their relationships. What began as crucial progress for LGBTQ+ rights has evolved into a choice for all couples today. From those first partnerships to marriage equality in 2013, and the extension to heterosexual couples in 2019 – each step has helped build a more inclusive society. Here's to two decades of progress, and to those who made it possible. 🏳️🌈 #Equality #LGBTQ+ #UKHistory #LoveIsLove #20YearsOfProgress

Today marks World AIDS Day 2024. Under the theme "Take the rights path: My health, my right!", Pride in London joins the global community in advocating for health equity in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The path to ending AIDS as a public health threat by 2030 is clear: we must protect everyone's fundamental right to quality healthcare. This means addressing inequalities that persist in access to prevention, testing and treatment services. Communities are at the heart of this fight. When we empower local voices and protect human rights, we make real progress. Pride in London stands with millions worldwide calling for equitable healthcare access for all. Today, we also remember those we've lost to AIDS - the friends, family members, activists, and community heroes who are no longer with us. Their legacy lives on in our continued fight for health equity and justice. We honour their memory by continuing their work and ensuring their stories are never forgotten. 📢 Together, we can end AIDS – but only if we ensure no one is left behind. Join us in speaking up for health equity across the UK and beyond. 📢 #WorldAIDSDay2024 #HealthEquity #EndAIDS #PrideinLondon 🟥
