The State of Climate Action 2023 is the world's most comprehensive roadmap for closing the climate action gap across sectors and limiting global warming to 1.5°C. It concludes that recent progress toward 1.5°C-aligned targets has not been at the appropriate pace and scale, and it emphasizes areas where action must be accelerated this decade to cut greenhouse gas emissions, scale up carbon removal, and improve climate finance.
