KFC is a great place to be yourself, grow and make a difference.

About us

In 1952 Colonel Harland Sanders opened the first KFC restaurant in Utah. Since then, his perfectly crafted Original Recipe chicken and its secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices has become famous all over the world, and today we have over 900 restaurants across the UK and Ireland. The Colonel was all about doing things the right way. That means our chicken is delivered fresh from farm to restaurant in 48 hours. It’s prepared carefully by hand in-restaurant by trained cooks, using the very best chicken reared to strict welfare standards. That’s what makes our food so finger lickin’ good. The right way also means serving fresh proper food, packed with flavour. So we’ve worked hard to make nutritional improvements across our menu so our fans have as much choice as possible, and we’ve committed to removing 20% of calories per serving by 2025. The Colonel also believed in feeding promise, wherever it’s found. So that’s why we invest heavily in the development and careers of our 24,000 employees – we were the first restaurant to launch an honours degree. And since its 2015 launch, our KFC Foundation has paid out grants totalling £3 million to our charity partners who are passionate about developing and nurturing young people across the country. Who are Yum! Brands? KFC is one of the 3 brands operated by our parent company Yum! along with Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. We are the world’s largest restaurant group – in fact in 2018 we opened our 48,000th restaurant. Importantly, we’re extremely proud of our 1.5 million employees around the globe and the unique culture we’ve built, one that’s filled with energy, opportunity, and fun. We believe in our people, trust in their positive intentions, encourage ideas from everyone, and have actively developed a workforce that is diverse in style and background. Yum! Brands is great place to be yourself, grow and make a difference.

Operations are the heart of KFC. They’re the reason our customers get to enjoy our finger lickin’ good chicken and exceptional service every single day.   From our in-restaurant teams who bring the Colonel’s Original Recipe to life, to the leaders driving customer excellence, risk and compliance, food safety, and more, it takes an army of passionate, bold, and customer-focused individuals to make our brand what it is. We like to think of them as our 12th secret ingredient.   As our COO, Lucy Taylor, shares in the clip below, the opportunities at KFC are endless. With bold ambitions in a rapidly growing business, we’re looking for driven individuals ready to support and unlock potential in our people, build our brand and make a positive impact to our communities.   Check out our latest operations vacancies here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/g7X3i5JK   #KFCUKI #LifeatKFC

2024, it’s a wrap. And what a year it’s been. The last 12 months have been filled with milestones, growth, challenges, highs and lows - but plenty of fun along the way. We cooked. We served. We litter-picked. We marched. We donated. We celebrated. And yes, we even made it onto the Gavin and Stacey Christmas special 🙌 . Through it all, we stayed true to what we believe in: chicken! Here’s to making 2025 even bigger and better. Happy New Year everyone! 🎆 #KFCUKI #LifeatKFC #BelieveInChicken

  • It’s not just our chicken that is seasoned to perfection; our festive season celebrations are just as good, and this year our end-of-year Bolos Event was even better.   Named after the Colonel’s iconic tie, the Bolos is a chance for our restaurant support teams to get together, celebrate and recognise the incredible work we have achieved this year.    And there certainly was a lot to shout about this year as we spread the love with 14 awards, including our highly sought after MVP prizes, won by Liam Callaghan and Steve Marchant, and our Team of the Year – Supply Chain.   A huge thank you to Magazine London for hosting us and helping us paint the big city KFC red!   #LifeAtKFC Photo credit: Furnace Mere Studios

  • Our food is too good to waste, and we’re passionate about making a real difference in the communities we serve. That's why we have spent the past 2.5 years partnering with FareShare UK to redistribute surplus food from our restaurants to those in need. In October, we reached the incredible milestone of donating 2 million meals - two months ahead of schedule. This was made possible by donations from over 950 KFC restaurants up and down the country, and the countless FareShare volunteers who ensure it is redistributed to nearly 1,000 charities, community groups and community kitchens. We are incredibly proud to have hit this donation milestone, and are also really pleased that our partnership with FareShare was recognised at the recent Waste2Zero awards, where we won the Food Redistribution award. Nevertheless, with 7.2 million people in the UK facing food insecurity, we know there’s always more we can do - which is why we look forward to making even more progress with our incredible partners at FareShare. #LifeatKFC #KFCUKI Louise Norris Jenny Packwood Ahava-Shaffra Gray-Read

Earlier this month, we celebrated our annual Franchise Awards Evening in style, overlooking the breath-taking London skyline at Horizon 22. This year has been packed with achievements, and we couldn’t be prouder. From reaching the milestone of donating over 2 million meals through our Food Donation Programme with FareShare UK to the success of our Elevate Programme, which continues to upskill and empower our amazing teams and Hatch our flagship employability programme, delivered in partnership with UK Youth, has supported 430 young people, it’s been a year to remember! A huge congratulations to all of our 2024 Franchise Award winners, including our Partner of the year Moto Hospitality who have opened 9 restaurants this year, delivering great tasting chicken and customer experiences to more motorists across the UK 🏆 . On top of celebrating successful partnerships, we also raised an impressive £15,000 for the KFC Youth Foundation. These funds will support birthday parties for the children at our new Youth Hub in Middlesbrough— a huge thank you to everyone who donated 👏 . #KFCUKI #LifeatKFC Photo credit: Parsons Media LTD

  • At KFC, we’re committed to creating a work culture where young people are valued and empowered 💡   This year, we’ve teamed up with our friends at KISS FM on our mission to champion young people and their futures through building on all the work we do in our communities to feed young people’s potential through the KFC Youth Foundation, Hatch with UK Youth, and our food donation programme in partnership with FareShare UK. To shine a light on the barriers young people are facing, we hosted a panel event last night with our friends at KISS and The News Movement, featuring Rebecca Frank, Content Director at KISS, young creative Ruby Archibald, TNM’s Christian Sayers, and KFC’s very own Ali Hussain and Ahava-Shaffra Gray-Read. The group discussed the importance of valuing young people’s potential over perception, busting negative perceptions and empowering young people.   We know there’s still work to be done to help young people access the opportunities they deserve – the fact is, young people are facing negative stereotypes daily. Our latest research, in partnership with UK Youth, has found that 93% of young people have experienced issues in the workplace just for being young, which is a truly shocking statistic.    As one of the largest youth employers in the country, we see the huge potential that every young person has. And to bring the voices and views of young people into the way we do business at KFC, we’re introducing our first-ever Youth Advisory Board, in partnership with Youth Beyond Borders (YBB). So, if you’re aged between 18-25, you can apply here: https://lnkd.in/eCZADxQS 👈 #KFCUKI #LifeatKFC
