We had the pleasure of hosting the second annual Echo Base Live Star Wars event yesterday with over 250 stallholders, an array of fantastic Cosplay outfits, and great footfall throughout the entire day. The day was a huge success, and with the addition of the Redditch BID Halloween Disco and the monthly craft market, the atmosphere was amazing and tenant feedback has been extremely positive. A great example of utilising vacant space and units to host successful, footfall driving events.

Great day at Kingfisher Shopping Centre and Redditch town centre in partnership with Redditch BID with the ever popular Classic Car Show with guests including KITT from Knight Rider, Lightning McQueen and a couple of Transformers. Some brilliant vehicles in display and a great event to draw people in to the Centre for everyone's benefit. Arts in Redditch have had a pop up gallery in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre for 10 years now and we last night we celebrated this and the opening of their latest one with a look back at all that they have done to support, celebrate and promote local art and artists. Over 30,000 people have passed through their doors in the 18 galleries that they have had put on here in that time and we love hosting them. They brighten up an empty unit like nothing else! 53 artists are displaying their work this time round. Open now until 26th May. Kingfisher Shopping Centre hosted the ever popular Echo Base Live Star Wars event today with 220 stallholders, loads of wonderful Cosplay outfits, and great footfall stats - our Guest Hosts and Guest Services teams were kept very busy! A new feature was the opportunity for anyone dressed up (public and attendees) to walk through the Centre and we asked businesses in advance if they wanted a photo taken - here is just a snapshot which included Darth Vadar trying out a pram in our new Unicorn Baby shop and some sparring with the wonderful team at 24/7 Fitness who are set to open a new gym in the Centre next month! I would highly recommend getting any event to involve strong, visible interaction with tenants at any opportunity - they love being involved and they also help spread the word.
