Krucial is proud to be involved in this exciting project led by #CEOWaterMandate, #WaterResilienceCoalition and European Space Agency - ESA to explore the use of cutting-edge space technologies to monitor global water stress. Krucial led an international consortium, which includes SAS, Deep Planet, SRUC and University of Strathclyde, to develop an advanced end-to-end, scalable water resilience monitoring solution for water availability and quality across the 100 most-populated river basins globally, critical to more than 3 billion people. Through our collaboration we worked to develop a solution that: 🛰️ Combines multiple data sets including in-situ ground sensor data, weather data and space-based data 💧 Moves data from river basins, even in the most remote locations, resiliently to an advanced data analytics platform via Krucial's hybrid communications technology 📈 Make this important information easy accessible 24/7 for policymakers, scientists, businesses and government agencies to make informed decision on precious water resources Read more about Krucial's involvement in the project here: https://lnkd.in/eAiKEvYN #CEOWaterMandate #WaterResilienceCoalition Pacific Institute United Nations Global Compact Davide Coppola Rita Rinaldo Liz Barrow European Space Agency - ESA Todd Player André Villaça Ramalho Jason Morrison Cheryl Hicks
Today, the CEO Water Mandate—a partnership between the United Nations Global Compact and the Pacific Institute—and the European Space Agency - ESA announced significant progress in their joint initiative to leverage space technologies and innovative digital tools for advancing #water security and resilience. The “Digitizing Water Resilience in Basins” initiative addresses the urgent global challenge of insufficient data and shared understanding of freshwater resources, including water stress, quality, and accessibility. “I am delighted to see the initial outcomes of this initiative, confirming how space technologies, combined with digital tools and IoT, can illuminate water stress drivers and intervention impacts—even in the most remote regions. Our collaboration with the CEO Water Mandate and WRC unlocks new opportunities for cross-sectoral cooperation and innovative business models..." says Davide Coppola of the ESA. Our CEO and Co-founder was in UAE in November talking on stage to some of the most influential investors in the GCC. His panel session alongside Anna Hazlett and Anas Zeineddine covered growth opportunities in the Space Economy both globally and in the region. One main area Allan highlighted was the opportunity for high growth in the downstream/application areas of the value chain as a result of the incredible recent on orbit infrastructure build out. He discussed how Krucial are leveraging space assets to solve real problems here on Earth and building long term investor value.
We are thrilled to share the success of our first-ever #NextgenConnect event held in the vibrant city of Dubai! 🎉 We were honored to have such an amazing lineup of speakers who shared their insights on emerging trends and the future of entrepreneurship ! A huge thank you to everyone who attended and made this event truly special, panelists and moderators. As Emile Salawi, Head of the Middle East Region and Key Client for Indosuez, mentioned in his opening speech, ‘’our goal was to create an intimate atmosphere, where real stories, experiences and successes could be shared openly. It was inspiring to see genuine connections being made, reinforcing the importance of human relationships in our industry’’. We have designed this event to mirror the journey of a successful entrepreneur with 4 panels: 🌟 Innovating Through Resilience: How Startups Solve Problems and Pivot in Traditional Industries with: Jad Antoun Dani El-Zein Rami Tabbara 🌟 Spotting Global Trends: Regional Opportunities in Venture Capital and Beyond: Amir Farha Abdulaziz Shikh Al Sagha Noor Sweid 🌟 The Role of the Next Generation in Setting Up and Expanding the Family Office: Sharif Farha Malek Idriss Shahan Sarkissian 🌟 Emerging Space Sector Trends with Global Industry Players: A Spotlight on the Middle East with: AzurX Space Ventures and special guests: Anna Hazlett Allan Cannon Anas Zeineddine This event was a new step towards building a strong, supportive community that will continue to thrive!
