As 2024 comes to an end, we reflect on a transformative year for Landmarc, marked by the outstanding efforts of our team. Looking ahead to 2025, we are proud to continue our mission to provide the best training experience we can, building on the foundations laid this year to seize new opportunities and rise to whatever challenges lie ahead. We hosted a wonderful Christmas carol service with Landmarc Solutions at St. Mary's Church at West Tofts Camp on Stanford Training Area, bringing people together to celebrate over the Christmas period. 🎄 Around 250 guests arrived at this beautiful medieval church which was opened to DIO and Landmarc staff, their families, local residents and local organisations from the surrounding villages. Everyone joined together to enjoy an evening singing along to the festive tunes of The Royal Anglian Regimental (V) band 🎺 , followed by a delicious spread of mince pies and mulled wine provided by ESS. We’d like to say a big thank you to the local residents who support the Armed Forces and the valuable work of the training area, and to the team at West Tofts for all their hard work leading up to the event, and on the day, making sure the church and surroundings were looking festive and at their best. ⛪ ✨ #Christmas #Together #DIO #DefenceInfrastructureOrganisation

We had a fabulous evening at the UK #SocialEnterprise Awards this week as proud sponsor of the Environmental Social Enterprise of the Year Award. It was a truly inspiring night and we loved meeting some of the brightest stars in the #SocEnt community at London's iconic Roundhouse. Organised by Social Enterprise UK, the Awards recognise the impact and innovation of this growing movement, where businesses put people and planet first. As a member of the Buy Social Corporate Challenge, we're dedicated to buying from social enterprises, so that our everyday spend has a positive impact on the wider world. During the evening, it was a pleasure to present the award to Finance Earth, an employee-owned social enterprise with a mission to scale up funding into nature conservation, climate and communities. Huge congratulations to the team! #SocEntAwards24

On Social Enterprise Day we’re shining a spotlight on a recent collaboration with ethical clearance specialists Waste to Wonder Worldwide. During an office refurbishment we worked with the social enterprise to give our old office furniture a new lease of life, resulting in over 350 items being donated to United Action for Children (UAC), a charity that contributes to the improvement of living conditions of deprived populations. Waste to Wonder Worldwide help companies minimise waste and maximise educational opportunities through the redistribution and reuse of equipment. Since 2002, Waste to Wonder Worldwide have helped donate over £40 million of redundant office furniture and supported over 1,400 schools in over 40 countries. Many of these schools are located in disadvantaged communities around the world and in the UK as well. At Landmarc we're dedicated to buying from social enterprises so that our everyday spend has a positive impact on the wider world. Landmarc joined the Buy Social Corporate Challenge in 2019 after recognising that there was more we could do to increase the number of social enterprises that we work with. Social enterprises and SMEs now represent around 70% of our supply chain and almost half of our annual spend. Watch our video to find out more about our impact. This year's theme for International Men's Day is 'Positive Male Role Models'. To celebrate, we spoke with Craig Howorth - Training Area Operative, Armed Forces veteran and leg amputee - about how his journey has shaped his physical and mental wellbeing. Craig says: "I think it was the best thing that ever happened to me, to lose my leg. It just made me a lot more dedicated to achieve more things and accomplish challenges." And his achievements have been many. From being part of the military veteran team that supported renowned mountain climber and double amputee, Hari Budha Magar in his world-record attempt to reach the summit of Mount Everest, to swimming the English Channel, Craig has shown that anything is possible. We're incredibly proud to have him on Team Landmarc. Craig will be part of a team of amputees attempting to swim the English Channel for a second time next year, raising funds for Blesma, a charity dedicated to assisting serving and ex-service men and women who have suffered life-changing limb loss or the use of a limb, an eye or sight. We wish Craig the best of luck with his training! If you’d like to support this incredible cause, you can find out more and donate here 👉 https://lnkd.in/e-ZBG7EK Happy International Men’s Day to all the inspirational men at Landmarc. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to providing the best training experience for our Armed Forces. #TeamLandmarc #InternationalMensDay #Inspirational #ArmedForces #Veteran

We would like to thank everyone at #TeamLandmarc who took the time to represent the business at Remembrance services this weekend, to honour and remember our fallen heroes and all those who continue to fight for our peace, freedom and prosperity. Pictured is Gerald Pedrick, Training Area Operative with 43 years of service, who proudly represented the team by laying a wreath during the Okehampton Remembrance Day Parade. Also pictured is our Area Delivery Manager, Alan Alford, at Swynnerton, and Jake Oliver, Team Manager at Hythe Ranges laid a wreath at the Hythe War Memorial. He said, “It was a privilege to lay a wreath on behalf of Landmarc at the Hythe War Memorial to acknowledge the courage and sacrifice of those who served their country.” We will remember them. #LestWeForget #RemebranceParade #ArmedForces
