Lecta announces the spin-off of its self-adhesive business The new entity, Lecta Self-Adhesives España, S.L.U., will be responsible for all the Group’s self-adhesive activity, agreements and commercial relations starting January 1, 2025. With this new structure, Lecta seeks to optimize the management and profitability of the business through specialization, increasing production efficiency, and adapting to market demands and the needs of its customers. The new organization will allow for significant improvement in processes and product offerings, ensuring Lecta's ongoing commitment to quality of service and customer satisfaction. United in Solidarity: Lecta at the Barcelona Women’s Race 2024 💪🎗️ Last Sunday, the Barcelona Women’s Race brought together over 35,000 participants in a proud display of energy, solidarity, and commitment to three important causes: the fight against breast cancer, gender-based violence, and social inequalities. Among them, we are proud to highlight the 34 women representing Lecta, including our colleagues and their mothers, grandmothers, and daughters, who shared an inspiring day of effort and hope. This initiative was made possible thanks to Lecta’s sponsorship, enabling our employees and their families to join this meaningful cause. Some chose to run, others walked, but all participated with the same goal: to support research, raise awareness, and promote unity against challenges that affect us all. The Women’s Race is more than just a race; it’s a symbol of solidarity, strength, and hope. 🌍 Lecta has set out ambitious group-wide C02 emission reduction targets, including a 45% decrease in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 35% reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2030. We are already on our way to meeting these targets: ✅ In September 2024, we submitted our reduction targets to SBTi for validation ✅ During 2023 we implemented numerous critical initiatives and investments focused on energy efficiency ✅ Major investment in a refuse-derived fuel (RDF) boiler for our Condat mill in France has taken place to encourage the use of more sustainable energy alternatives These strategic moves underline Lecta’s commitment to transitioning to a resilient, net-zero economy based on scientific principles. Frankfurter Buchmesse 2024: Paper as a Sustainable Story   We were thrilled to connect with so many of you at the Frankfurter Buchmesse. Our cocktail reception was a lively affair, filled with great conversations and connections with a distinctly Italian flavour. The roundtable organized by the Federazione Carta e Grafica on the future of Italian publishing featured experts that offered valuable insights and innovative perspectives. This panel included Michele Lanzinger (ICOM Italia), Prof. Erik Spiekermann, Sandro Berra (GRAFICHE ANTIGA spa), emanuele bandecchi (Rotolito Spa), and our colleague Alessandro Nardelli. “Our Odyssey”, PichiAvo's book launch was a highlight, showcasing their incredible talent and the exquisite quality of our paper for the world of art.   We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited our stand and participated in our events.
