The consultation is in three parts: - the model of solicitors holding client money - protecting the client money that solicitors hold - delivering and paying for a sustainable compensation fund. The SRA will stimulate discussion around three or four areas arising out of their consultation and attendees will hear from Clive Thomas on the concerns regarding the consultation itself and effect of any further restrictions on the holding of client monies, followed by a Q and A chaired by Jonathan Marsh, Regulatory officer for Cardiff & District Law Society. It is important that the SRA hears and understands your views on such an important issue for the profession.
