Dream Placement Week at LEL Nuclear with Ashlyn & Adam This past week, we had the pleasure of hosting Ashlyn and Adam as part of the Dream Placement program, run by the Centre for Leadership Performance Cumbria . Throughout their time with us, they gained hands-on experience across key areas of our business, including design, procurement, documentation, and manufacturing. Ashlyn and Adam worked alongside our team to understand the full project lifecycle, from initial concept through to production. They engaged with our team, explored procurement processes, and contributed to essential project documentation. Seeing their enthusiasm and willingness to learn was fantastic, and we’re proud to have given them a real insight into the industry. At LEL, we are committed to developing future talent, and Dream Placement is a brilliant initiative that allows young people to experience what a career in engineering could look like. LEL Nuclear is proud to have contributed to the Electrical Distribution Network Upgrade Project (EDNUP) at Sellafield, playing a key role in the mechanical installation of six new generators. This critical upgrade enhances emergency power generation and strengthens the site's electrical resilience, ensuring uninterrupted operations even in the event of a National Grid shortage. A huge well done to all teams involved for their collaboration and expertise in delivering this milestone safely and efficiently!
