These local charities have been selected from nominations made by our team, which means that they are very close to our hearts 💙 💚   @TheChristieCharity A local Manchester hospital, money raised will be used for a wide range of projects and initiatives to enhance services, including the cancer information centre, wig fitting service and art room.   @SATEDA A Kent based charity with a vision to end domestic abuse and a mission to empower all women to end the cycle, reconnect with their own voices and rebuild their lives free from fear through education, support and advocacy. The specialist charity also campaigns for systemic change around gender-based violence.   @ANDYSMANCLUB A charity looking to eliminate stigma surrounding mental health for men in order to create a judgement free, confidential space where men can be open and honest about mental health struggles in their lives.   Keep your eyes peeled for fundraising initiatives that will be taking place over the next 12 months! #Linaker #LinakerPeople #LinakerLife #Charity #Giving

A #ThrowbackThursday post to earlier this week when we attended the Atom Business Events' Facilities Management event, who yet again brought together our industry under one roof at Doncaster Racecourse and Exhibition Centre. We're waiting with bated breath until Premises & Facilities Management's annual PFM Awards event on Wednesday 6 November next week. Having handed out so many well-deserved awards to Linaker team members at our latest company-wide event, #LinakerLUAU, we're crossing our fingers that it's Claire Curran's turn, having been announced as a finalist for the esteemed Leader of the Year category. Today is World Sustainability Day, which is a global initiative dedicated to raising awareness about sustainability and the importance of adopting practices that protect the environment for future generations. Part of our purpose at Linaker is to have a positive impact on our world and sustainability lies at the heart of this. We've previously mentioned our work with neutral carbon zone (NCZ), however we're proud to share more news from our most recent report. NCZ, our carbon conscious partner, has confirmed that Linaker has reduced its carbon impact by 18% whilst growing 46%. This is the largest sustainability achievement when it comes to reduction that NCZ has seen. Breaking this down a little further, this means we've achieved a 44% reduction per million GBP revenue in carbon emissions, whilst growing 46% between 2022 and 2023. A huge thank you to NCZ, the carbon measurement specialists, for making this process as straightforward as possible.
