Innovative transit packaging - helping FMCG customers improve pallet stability, reduce plastic, CO2 and save costs.
About us
Lindum are an expert B2B packaging supplier, working predominantly within the FMCG sector. Our innovative approach to packaging is very simple – we are here to help you improve your packaging operations. Our team work closely with businesses to analyse packaging processes, testing your pallet stability, optimising and replacing poorly performing products with newer, stronger and more environmentally friendly alternatives. By identifying and implementing improvements we guarantee we can make a big difference to your operations and – ultimately – your bottom line. The benefits we can bring to you is simple – we will save you money, reduce your plastic packaging waste, reduce your CO2 and improve your packaging performance. And we will prove it. The packaging solutions we offer include: - A free transit packaging audit | Assesses your usage, systems and processes to identify operational savings and optimal practises - Mobile Pallet Load Stability Test Lab | Our mobile pallet test lab, testing to EUMOS standards, comes to your site and tests your pallets to see what issues they may have. Pallet stability can have a huge impact on your business, and our test lab is a comprehensive test solution, providing live footage, identifies issues and allows to retest once improvements have been made - Packaging products | We’re a leading packaging supplier in the UK, specialising in transit packaging products. We work closely with our customers supplying pallet wrap, packaging tape, as well as carboard, polythene and protective packaging - Reduce plastic & CO2 | Sustainability is key with the work we do. Not only do we work closely with companies to help reduce their plastic packaging waste, but in doing so we also reduce their CO2. Our carbon offset scheme also helps balance the remainder of your CO2.

We have tested the length of 67 different rolls of hand pallet wrap in the last 3 months. On average they were 10% shorter than specified. How much could short winding be costing you? Without knowing how many rolls you buy or the price you pay, it’s difficult to estimate exactly how much short winding could be costing you. But to give you an idea… If a company purchases 50,000 ‘600m’ rolls per year, but each roll actually contains only 540m, they would effectively be paying for 5,000 rolls they never receive. To estimate how much short rolling could be costing your business, you can use this formula… Lost Rolls = Total Rolls Purchased Per Year x 10% Estimated Cost = Lost Rolls x Price Per Roll To help address this issue, we’ve developed a digital roll length counter to measure exactly how many metres are on a roll. If you’d like us to test one of your rolls, get in touch. At the very least, you’ll know for sure whether you’re getting what you paid for. Our promise is, at any time in the future, you can call us to your site to test the length of one of our own rolls – proving that it’s what we say it is on the spec sheet. Everybody should get what they paid for. If you buy a litre of fuel for your car, you expect a litre – not 750ml.

In the last three months, we have tested the length of 67 different rolls of hand pallet wrap – 91% of them were short-wound. What is short winding? Hand pallet wrap is sold in specific roll lengths, most commonly 300 or 600 metres per roll. Short winding is when rolls are deliberately wound to less than the specified length. To help address this issue, we’ve developed a digital roll length counter to measure exactly how many metres are on a roll. Over the last three months, we tested 67 rolls from 65 different companies, and 91% of them came up short. On average, rolls were 10% shorter than specified. This means that if you were buying a ‘600m’ roll, you’d actually only be getting 540m.

When it comes to efficient and secure packaging, a hand wrap dispenser is an indispensable tool for any business. This tool is designed to streamline the process of wrapping pallets, ensuring that your products are always tightly secured during transportation and storage. A hand stretch wrap dispenser enables the consistent application of pallet wrap by providing a consistent unwind tension. This gives you greater control over material consumption and pallet stability. For businesses looking to enhance their packaging efficiency, investing in a quality hand stretch wrap dispenser is a smart move. Drop us a line to trial our unique, double-handed dispenser for free. #trybeforeyoubuy #packagingsolutions #enjoythejourney
