📣 Our incredible teams raised £24,077 for Macmillan Cancer Support this year! From the north of England to the corners of Cornwall, teams baked cakes and cookies, brewed up the finest tea and coffee, and planned fundraisers to try and hit their combined target of £19k.... And hit it they did. Gemma Irwin, Head of Community at Lounge said “I’m absolutely blown away by the efforts, and every Lounge should be incredibly proud. The totals are in! We are pleased to announce that our teams across the country managed to raise a total of £158,839 this year for their local communities, during our yearly LoungeAid drive. From using their spaces to bring people and community groups together for events, to giving away products in random acts of kindness - everyone was tasked with raising money for causes which are close to teams' hearts. It's our birthday! Today marks 22 years since we opened our first Lounge on North Street, Bristol. 🎉 Now, with 269 Lounges, Cosy Clubs and Brightsides up and down the UK, over 14,000 lampshades, and 12 LoungeFests down, we're not stopping there! A huge thank you to all of our teams everywhere, who have made this journey possible.

Today is a big day at Loungers as we make a ‘Ritorno’ to where it all started… Bristol! Ritorno Lounge becomes our 228th Lounge, sitting in an epic spot at Bristol’s Harbourside. We are so excited to have another Bristol Lounge in the family and isn’t she a beaut!

8 days, 3 new openings? No sweat 💁 Cosy Club Sheffield opened this morning, marking our 36th Cosy. With Leo Lounge opening on 10th July, and Ritorno Lounge opening this Wednesday, we'll bring our company site count up to 267 by the end of this week.

We are pleased to report that FY24 was a record year for Loungers, (operators of Lounge Café Bars, Cosy Club and Brightside - Roadside Dining) with revenue of £353.5m million in the 53 weeks to 21th April, with an adjusted EBITDA of £59.6m million, and delivering 36 new sites.   Loungers Chief Executive, Nick Collins, says: “This has been another year of outstanding strategic, operational and financial progress for Loungers. Our consistent and market-leading like for like sales growth, coupled with our improving margins, are allowing us to achieve record levels of profits to reinvest in our ambitious roll-out programme.    During the year, we opened 36 new sites, created 1,200 new jobs and invested around £39m in high streets and communities across the UK. We have demonstrated yet again that the hospitality sector is capable of making a really positive economic and social impact on parts of the country that are otherwise all-too-often overlooked. To encourage further investment, I would strongly urge the new government to address the wildly unfair tax burden that is shouldered by our industry.    The improving macroeconomic environment, with falling interest rates and declining inflation, adds to our confidence in Loungers’ trading prospects for the coming year.
