That's a wrap on Black Friday.. We're sending 270 girls to school! ✏️💗 We first visited the Fior Di Loto Foundation back in 2018 and saw first hand how they transform girls’ lives; not only by giving them an education but helping their families with transport, school means, uniforms, books and Diwali outfits. They even support women by donating sewing machines, supporting them in childbirth, with their pensions. It’s not just about schooling, but about supporting these women throughout their lives 🌸 Back in 2018 we knew that if we could generate funds to send more girls to school, surely the best time would be Black Friday, when we knew we could make a real impact. Thanks to our customers, we’ve done just that. It makes us so proud to say that this year we’ve sent 270 girls to school, which means we’ve funded 1,228 years of education since 2018 📚 All we can say is thank you, thank you, thank you to anyone who's supported us 💗 For helping us send these girls to school and genuinely changing their lives. Doing Black Friday differently 🚌💗 It's a competitive time for brands, but we’re proud to focus our energy on our partnership with the amazing Fior Di Loto Foundation who provide life-changing education for girls living in the villages surrounding Pushkar, Northwest India - close to where our dungarees were first made 🎀 From building new homes 🏡 to supporting students all the way through to university, Fior Di Loto is all about lasting positive change 🎓 Over the last 6 years, we’ve funded 1,021 years of education, and we're not done yet! Introducing, The Comfort Store ❤️ We’re so happy and proud to announce that we’ve partnered up with Shelter as one of our ongoing chosen charities. To celebrate, we’ve worked together to bring you The Comfort Store, an exclusive pop-up with a focus on home comforts ☁️✨ “Since 2017, Lucy & Yak has been bringing comfort to the people. Comfort isn’t just a feeling, we all deserve to feel good, in our clothes and our spaces. That’s why we have partnered with Shelter to present The Comfort Store. With the growing popularity of online marketplaces, charity shops are struggling with donations.
