This week Magia Consulting successfully launched the second phase of the University of Oxford Disability Advisory Service. Building on feedback from the university, students, and practitioners, we have enhanced the user experience by streamlining the appointment and timesheet process. Magia's friends and colleagues channelled their inner Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary by completing a charity climb of England's highest summit, Scafell Pike. Not everyone was a seasoned hiker, and this helped to create and reinforce a sense of community during the climb, with all of the team completing the hike. Meeting at 6 a.m. and starting the climb at 7 a.m., the groups worked their way through mist, wind, and rocky paths, all reaching the summit at various times before 10:30 a.m. with plenty of time to have a sandwich before making their way back down, enjoying an afternoon in the Lake District, and then meeting up in the evening for a celebratory dinner. The climb was to help raise funds and awareness for Finnbar's Force, a small yet mighty children's cancer charity that is making a vital difference in supporting families affected by childhood cancer. 🧡 Raising awareness among parents and healthcare professionals 🧡 Providing financial, practical, and emotional assistance to families 🧡 Supporting research into childhood brain tumours Initiatives like this really do make all the difference!
