  • What separates a good roofing project from a great one?   It's all in the details – from ridge and hip tiles, to valleys and feature tiles, choosing the right fittings to match the tiles will add the finishing touch to a roof that is as beautiful as it is durable.   We pay as much attention to the design of our roof fittings as we do to our range of roof tiles, offering a wide range of options to choose from. Every project is different, so our clay and concrete fittings come in a large palette of colours and a varied selection of styles, ensuring that they fit seamlessly into your design.   Explore the range: https://lnkd.in/etV8RxxE   #roofing #design #architecture

  • In order to keep the roofing industry safe and trustworthy, we urge merchants, roofers, and specifiers to ensure that their timber battens are genuine and BS 5534-compliant.   Our Marley JB Red battens are manufactured from slow-grown, kiln-dried sideboards for maximum strength and stability. Additionally, they are laser-graded at the factory and carry a number of certifications to assure you of their reliability.   ✔️ JB Red battens have become one of the first products on the UK market to carry the CCPI mark, helping to provide assurance to users that the product information for these products is clear, accurate, accessible, up to date, and unambiguous.   ✔️ UKAS third-party assessed by the BBA (British Board of Agrément) to certify that they are fit for their intended use.   ✔️ Full chain of custody – PEFC certified.   ✔️ Preservative-treated to BS 8417:2011 Usage Class 2 using MicroPro® against attack by wood-rotting fungi and insect attack.   ✔️ Meets all the requirements of BS 5534.

TDUK is offering advice on how to ensure the timber battens that the industry stocks, sells and uses are fit for purpose, following warnings from NFRC that counterfeit battens are circulating on the UK market. The NFRC has once again warned of sub-standard battens that are marked, ‘coloured and sold as being BS 5534 compliant‘, when they are in fact, counterfeit. TDUK takes all claims of substandard timber product entering the UK market very seriously, and has previously issued a trade note to all its members offering guidance on this matter.
