What a fantastic surprise for patients at the Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity 📽 Mr Brown himself (Hugh Bonneville) and a certain bear made a guest appearance for the screening of Paddington in Peru in the MediCinema 🐻🥪

I’m so happy I got to see a premiere and ask questions to one of the actual people in it!”- Lucas We were delighted to be joined by Paddington himself, and actor Hugh Bonneville, who plays Mr Brown, as we celebrated the bear-y exciting release of 'Paddington in Peru' with MediCinema last night. The Bank of England has announced the lowering of interest rates to 4.75%, a widely anticipated move. This marks the second cut this year (down from 5% in August). ✂ Here’s why it matters: 🏡 Mortgages & Borrowing: The base rate cut will likely ease the cost of borrowing, including for mortgages. This could provide some relief for homeowners and encourage consumer spending by making loans more affordable. 💷 Savings: While borrowing may be cheaper, lower rates make saving less rewarding, potentially encouraging more spending in the economy. Chancellor Rachel Reeves supports the move, though she acknowledges the ongoing challenges facing households. Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey also hints that rates might continue to dip gradually, although inflation control remains a priority to keep it near the 2% target.
