St Andrew's Day is the feast day of Andrew the Apostle and is celebrated every year in Scotland on the 30 November. In 1320, St Andrew officially became the patron saint of Scotland when the country's independence was declared with the signing of The Declaration of Arbroath. Remembrance Sunday is a national opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life. As we all remember our heroic armed forces members, who died in the line of duty, we observe a moment of silence at 11am, commemorating the World War One armistice on November 11, 1918 Ceremonies take place nationwide and internationally, with LITE Architectural proud to illuminate various sites of remembrance.
