When Abbie joined Work and Health Programme Pioneer, she had been unemployed for three years, caring for her family after her father tragically passed away. Abbie was also suffering with severe mental health challenges and low self-esteem, but her Employment Advisor was able to rebuild her confidence, provide tailored employment support and give her access to counselling services. She has now secured employment as a bartender and is embracing her new role as she looks towards a brighter future. Our Local Impact Fund, which was launched as part of the Restart Scheme, provides funding to charities and community organisations that deliver vital support in their local areas. We recently awarded £9800 to Rotherham United Community Trust to support their Youth Hub project, helping dozens of young people aged 16 to 24 who are not in education, employment, or training to move closer to work, with a particular focus on improving mental health and securing work experience with employers. Find out more about how the Local Impact Fund supported the trust in this article from the Rotherham Advertiser: https://lnkd.in/e3kuJ9SK #Community #Charity #TransformingLives

At the Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) Awards last week Yuliia Khotieieva celebrated being named joint winner of the Frontline Advisor of the Year Award. The award recognised Yuliia's incredible skills as an advisor, and in particular her work with Ukrainian refugees in Cardiff. After moving to the UK as a Ukrainian refugee in 2022, Yuliia joined Maximus with the aim of helping others in similar circumstances. Since then, through the Work and Health Programme, she’s used her lived experience to help others, including Maryna and Yuliia. #ERSAAwards #Employability #TransformingLives

We are continuing to empower communities across the UK, with £220,000 in grants awarded through our Local Impact Fund. In our latest funding round, we awarded £72,000 to 10 organisations across South and West Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottingham, and South and East London. Through the fund we're supporting charities and community organisations that are making a positive difference in their community, whether it's helping refugees into employment, providing work experience for young people, or supporting women in the workplace.
