Mayfair Place Chambers is pleased to announce that the King has appointed Shauna Ritchie to sit as a Recorder for the Crown Court on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable Shabana Mahmood MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill. Her appointment will take effect on 18 November 2024. She joins Eleanor Sanderson, appointed in 2023, in sitting on the South Eastern Circuit. https://lnkd.in/eNyc9EY9

In light of the The Law Society and The Bar Council of England and Wales issuing their Information Security Questionnaire: I think the issue of security has become absolutely foundational to the work that Jim Meyer and the development team have done when building the LawPage case and practice management system over the last few years.   Our app and the layers of associated software have been designed as a fully immersive working environment (which, if it isn't too naff, we call an ecosystem) for any individual barrister or solicitor, or set of chambers, or for any legal practice. This means that as well as all the day-to-day concerns like diary management, time keeping and billing we were utterly convinced from the outset that LawPage needed to have the sort of cast iron security that comes from sitting fully within the Microsoft 365 environment – something that Jim Meyer might add to in a moment as he is a world class expert in that regard.   My input as a practising Silk was that I wanted to be completely confident that information is ring-fenced if you like or contained so that you can simply and securely provide access to the right people to only the correct information.  A shining example would be an aspect of LawPage I am so pleased with, namely how Jim Meyer and the team have made it a matter of intuitive simplicity using Microsoft 365 to share that information with precisely the people or persons who that should be shared with while keeping all other data securely fenced off. That is just one example of many I could point out of how Jim Meyer has made the LawPage app an utterly secure and simple environment in which to work.    #OnlineSecurity #LegalInnovation #ModernLaw #ChambersLife #LegalTech #Efficiency #LawPractice #LegalProfession #FreedomToWork #LawPage #ProfessionalGrowth #LegalSupport #Barristers #Advocacy #ClientAdvisory #WorkLifeBalance #DataSecurity

It's over eleven months since Richard Matthews KC became head of chambers at our newly established home in the heart of Mayfair – and since then Eleanor Sanderson, Shauna Ritchie have all become daily, and often hourly, users of this new case and practice management system, (while often we just leave it working invisibly in the background) LawPage.
