Fantastic to meet with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation this week and explore opportunities for collaboration! 🤝
This morning, Secretary of Commerce David Rosenberg along with representatives from the IEDC, BioCrossroads and Conexus Indiana met with leaders from MedCity, a cluster organization for the health and life sciences sector in here in London. Sec. Rosenberg shared how Indiana’s approach to partnerships between industry, academia and government have contributed to the life science innovations coming out of the Hoosier state, especially in nuclear medicine, diagnostics and medical devices. He also discussed how quickly a company can establish or expand its operations in Indiana. Mutual growth is easier at the speed of business. BioCrossroads CEO Vince Wong spoke about specific life science areas where Indiana excels and the organization’s efforts to advance life sciences in the Hoosier state through the guidance they can provide. Conexus Indiana Chief Operating and Strategy Officer Bryce Carpenter highlighted Indiana’s strengths in advanced manufacturing and logistics, two things that are vital in growing a robust life sciences ecosystem. MedCity has worked to foster international collaborations between biotech, medtech and pharmaceutical companies since 2014. It’s paid off in life-changing ways for people around the world. Thank you to MedCity’s Head of Life Sciences Cluster Development Ivana Poparic, PhD and Senior Investment Manager Dr. Wael Muselmani for meeting with us today.
