I am pleased to share that I have successfully completed the Media Research Group (MRG) Tools of the Trade 2024 course! Over the past 10 weeks, I’ve gained valuable knowledge across various topics, including research techniques, data integration and visualization, and international media research. I am excited to apply these insights to my work and continue developing my knowledge in research. A special thank you to Jeroen Verspeek for this opportunity and to Grace Jasper for your support throughout the process.

From September to November, I attended Media Research Group (MRG) ‘s Tools of The Trade, a 10 week evening class aimed at those new to the media industry. It was an insightful and engaging course on the media landscape. I thoroughly enjoyed learning from industry experts about different media channels as well as AI, data visualisation, attention and questionnaire design Thanks to all the speakers and The MRG!

Great start to the afternoon! We’ve covered news consumption (and the UK General Election) thanks to the BBC, Colourtext and Newsworks, attention with Sky, Global and MTM, as well how millennials are taking over with Trajectory Partnership. MTM and Google then gave us insight into how relatable content creators on YouTube drive a more emotional response in neuroscience testing 🧠 #MRGConf24
