For those of you that have met our director Rachel, you’ll know what a powerhouse of a woman she is. Rachel herself returned to a high pressured job after her first cancer diagnosis and is now passionate to share with others what here unique challenges were and how we can support people throughout. “Cancer treatment induced menopause symptoms can last for years after active cancer treatment is finished. People deserve the right support throughout”, Rachel says. ➡️What were your experiences of returning to work after cancer? 🪭We believe women need more than fans as a support! (Although, they can help - check out Rachel desk! 😅) Today, Rachel Rachel Bowman will deliver training to HR professionals and we’re looking forward to moving this conversation into the right direction. Thank you Henpicked for having us! . . . . . . . #workingwithcancer #menopauseandtheworkplace #menopauseaftercancer

At every online event we have people from Australia and New Zealand who join and talk about their unique challenges. Differences in health care systems, attitude to menopause in general as a society and the want to connect in person all make this new area of expansion very important to us. Thank you Sonya Lovell for joining us! We’re very excited and grateful to work with you!

We’re ready to onboard new volunteers and make them part of the team so that we can reach our communities locally and offer the support that is needed. Every time we host an event we have offers of people wanting to volunteer for us and become part of the team making a change, and we are so grateful for that! Up until now we have not been able to take you all on, however, we are super proud to have recently received some funding from The National Lottery which has enabled us to put together our Menopause and Cancer Volunteers Team💗 👉More information is here https://lnkd.in/eMfjEGDF 👉Register your interest here https://lnkd.in/eqBsWp2b

We are proud to present our 2024 impact report. With the help from our supporters, we have been able to truly reach our communities far and wide. It was a pleasure to co-host events, workshops and create resources with Maggie's Centres, Breast Cancer Now, Trekstock, The Eve Appeal, Future Dreams House and many more. We have travelled to Cornwall, Yorkshire and many places in between and for everyone who has supported us, we have been able to support many in our community. We believe that with true partnership and open communication, we will be able to change the landscape of menopause care for cancer survivors for those in our generation. A big thank you goes to our supporting doctors and experts - there are too many to name - but we'll try Vikram Sinai Talaulikar Alison Macbeth Lindsey T. I’ve recorded a yoga nidra for the Menopause and Cancer CIC (not-for-profit) available now on YouTube - https://lnkd.in/evDJHNKj Please share it with those affected by menopause and cancer. Yoga Nidrā is a tool that has helped me hugely over the years and the first qualification that I completed a week after IV chemo was in yoga nidra - the sleep of the yogis. It was at the Buddhist centre in Bermondsey, London, just a few steps away from Guys Cancer centre 🙏🏼 Deep rest is essential for our wellbeing. #menopause #menopauseandcancer #yoganidra #workingwithcancer #invisibledisability

We are passionate that all cancer patients receive the help they need to manage their symptoms of treatment-induced menopause. Many patients feel lost without clear options, and doctors are unsure of the best way to provide the support they need. This November we are hosting our first online Menopause and Cancer CPD accredited course for HCPs. In collaboration with: Prof. Richard Simcock (consultant medical adviser for Macmillan) Dr. Alison MacBeth (breast speciality doctor and British Menopause Society specialist) Mr. Vikram Talaulikar (associate specialist at UCLH and honorary associate professor at UCL) The course aims to: 1) Provide HCPs with comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of the evidence -baed treatments for menopause after cancer. 2) Equip HCPs with the skills to effectively manage and support patients experiencing menopause during and after cancer treatment. It will look at the management of menopause after all types of cancer, including finer details on breast cancers and gynaecological cancers. We want to take this opportunity to thank our experts, Prof Richard Simcock, Dr Alison Macbeth and Mr Vikram Talaulikar, for your support. Your support is what enables us to continue our mission, informing and empowering patients and HCPs, making space for menopause and cancer in the greater menopause conversation. If you would like to join book yourself a space on our CPD course, follow the link here: 👉 https://lnkd.in/eDqer4xk
