LEGOLAND Florida Resort's 'Theme Park Under The Sea' officially has an opening date! 🐚 SEA LIFE Florida will open to the public on May 23rd, offering guests 25 interactive exhibits, incorporating coral castles, carousel hideaways and cozy hotel-like spaces, all designed to keep the animals safe while they explore their underwater world. In partnership with SEA LIFE TRUST, SEA LIFE Florida is dedicated to marine conservation, animal welfare and ocean education. In a continued effort to reduce single-use plastic, LEGOLAND Florida Resort, PEPPA PIG Theme Park Florida and SEA LIFE Florida will all begin using recyclable bags from May 23rd, as further celebration of this exciting new opening. #LEGOLANDFlorida #SEALIFE

From the 15th March those brave enough to submit to the spin will be able to experience the latest that Forbidden Valley has to offer at Alton Towers Resort ☣️ Toxicator will open to thrill seekers on 15th March, offering intense spins and extreme centrifugal forces on the only topspin ride in the world to be elevated above ground level. A brand new ride is coming to LEGOLAND Korea Resort this season… Based on the globally popular LEGO NINJAGO series, Spinjitzu Master will offer guests a rollercoaster-style ride with a thrilling 360-degree rotating experience. Riders will be immersed in an adventure where they are challenged with saving the world with the LEGO ninjas and their elemental powers, experiencing the martial art of "Spinjitzu”. This world-first experience for LEGOLAND parks is part of the ongoing commitment to investing in the development of our Korea Resort, with Divisional Director Lee Soon-Gyu teasing "This is just the beginning." #LEGOLANDKorea #ComingSoon 

We are thrilled to share that Fiona Eastwood has today been announced as Chief Executive Officer of Merlin Entertainments, with immediate effect. This exciting appointment will support the implementation of Merlin’s transformational strategy, and to ensure that we can continue to grow at scale and deliver a sustainable, thriving future. Fiona said “It’s an honour to be chosen to lead Merlin. It is a truly world class company, with remarkable global reach and impact. Over the past decade, I have seen first hand what the business is capable of. My task, as CEO, is to lead Merlin to new heights, with a focus on performance, creativity, operational excellence and guest experience. Together, we will drive growth at scale and help Merlin reach its full potential.” Fiona was initially appointed to the role of CEO on an interim basis at the end of November 2024, following Scott O’Neil’s decision to leave Merlin Entertainments after two years as CEO. With nearly a decade of experience within Merlin Entertainments, Fiona most recently acted as Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for Gateway Attractions, including Madame Tussauds, the Eye Brand and SEA LIFE, along with Merlin's Resort Theme Parks. She joined the business in 2015 as Global Marketing Director for Gateway Attractions, responsible for driving strategy and marketing across an expanding portfolio of brands. Fiona’s appointment as CEO marks the start of a transformational era for Merlin Entertainments, with landmark new openings still to come later in the year, including the first standalone Peppa Pig Theme Park in Dallas Fort Worth, and the first LEGOLAND Resort in China, LEGOLAND Shanghai.

This week we marked World Cancer Day, which also marks one year of Merlin’s Cancer Care Resource, a dedicated programme that supports our Merlin teammates around the world who may be affected by cancer; from receiving treatment themselves to supporting a loved one, or being personally affected.   The Cancer Care Resource has been designed to create a welcoming community and peer support network for our teammates around the world, no matter the challenges they face along the journey. The global community that’s been formed through this network in the last 12 months has been one of compassion, togetherness, and honesty, fully reflecting our We Care value.    Earlier this week, our partner children’s charity Merlin's Magic Wand invited a family affected by cancer to have the honour of lighting up the Orlando Eye on the evening of World Cancer Day, offering a beacon for all those whose lives have been changed by this diagnosis.   At Merlin, we don't just support, we understand, and we're here to walk through every step of the journey together.   #WorldCancerDay #WeCare

Brick by brick, positive progress is being made on the upcoming LEGOLAND Shenzhen Resort 💫   Chief Strategic Portfolio Development Officer John Jakobsen has visited the development site to review the latest from the team who have been hard at work creating the eagerly anticipated LEGOLAND Resort, with key milestones reached in the park's construction.   John Jakobsen said “Looking back over the past year, the construction of LEGOLAND Shenzhen Resort has been progressing positively with a strong focus on creating a safe and high-quality experience filled with creativity and imagination for everyone. To our delight, construction of the themed areas within the LEGOLAND Theme Park is nearing completion in terms of civil construction. Anticipating 2025, LEGOLAND Shenzhen Resort is entering an accelerated phase, constantly building for fun."   Merlin's growth and investment in China will continue with the opening of LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort this summer, bringing LEGO-themed rides, experiences, and accommodation to life for the region.   #China #LEGOLAND #ComingSoon
