The National Lottery players raise more than £30 million for charities working in Arts, Sport, Heritage and Community projects every week, funding over 565,000 projects.

With the goal to make the world a healthier and happier place, Paul Sinton-Hewitt is the founder of the global phenomenon parkrun. After suffering from an injury which led him unable to compete in competitive running, Paul founded parkrun to help people of all abilities and backgrounds fall in love with the sport. In the latest episode of The National Lottery’s award-winning Game Changers podcast, we find out how parkrun began from a simple idea and grew across into one of the most popular community sporting events in the UK and throughout the world We’ll also hear from Robert Montgomery who wrote an incredible poem read by broadcaster and journalist, Claire Balding in honour of Paul and our sport game changers which was displayed in sporting locations across the UK.
