About us
Delivering investable nature-based solutions for people and planet. At Nature Impact, we establish land-based projects that deliver measurable biodiversity gains, following natural processes and being checked through rigorous scientific methods. The biodiversity units created from this uplift are then sold to housing, commercial, and infrastructure developers to help them comply with the mandatory Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) regulation, and to serve voluntary buyers seeking to offset or bring about positive environmental change. We raise investment into individual projects, preserving it for nature indefinitely, with long-term benefits and ownership for communities beyond the mandatory 30-year period.

Exciting times at Kensham Farm, Kent! 🌱 After a lot of work going on behind the scenes, we're delighted to announce the start of our journey at Kensham Farm in Kent. This is the first step in transforming this 69-acre ex-arable farm for Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG). We are providing 150 BNG units (fractional and full) for developers seeking to meet their BNG obligations. Nestled within both the High Weald and Romney Marshes National Character Area (NCA), this land has a rich history, once used for a mix of sheep grazing, arable, and hop farming. Today, the ecological baseline provides great potential: 🌾 Species-poor grassland 🍏 Ancient orchard in need of restoration 💧 Converging streams lined with trees forming part of the River Rother catchment 🐦 Two ponds needing enhancement 🌳 Pockets of woodland 🐜 And lots and lots of Yellow Meadow ant hills! Phase one is already in motion, with woodland management and coppicing scheduled for late winter. Come early spring, we’ll begin grassland management across the farm. Additionally, restoration work to the ancient orchard will begin, followed by new plantings and an expansion with a new orchard in the neighbouring field. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who's supported us along the way - Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, Ashford Borough Council, Triodos Bank, our strategic advisors Bruce Davis, Lucy Almond and Mark Maslin, Lambert & Foster Ltd, Impact47, Saffery's Natural Capital Team, Ecosulis, TWM Solicitors LLP, Sussex Nature Partnership and RESTORE. Also a big thank you to our supportive private investors (you know who you are). We can’t wait to share the journey with you all. Stay tuned for more updates from Kensham Farm! 👀 #BNG #Kent #MakingNatureGreatAgain #biodiversity #habitat #habitatbank #ecology #sustainability #naturerestoration #TunbridgeWells #Ashford

A big day for us!🌱 After months of planning and preparation, the gates are finally open at one of our locations - this one a 51-acre site in Skinners Farm, Wadhurst, East Sussex. This marks the start of an exciting journey as we transform this land for Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG). We are providing 112 BNG units (fractional and full) for developers seeking to meet their BNG obligations. Positioned on a B-Line between two Biodiversity Opportunity Areas, it forms a headwater catchment with ancient woodland weaving through the site. Taking a nature-first approach, we’ll establish a diverse range of habitats, including: 🌼 Lowland meadows 🍎 Traditional orchards 🌳 Lowland mixed deciduous woodland 🌲 Wet woodland … and so much more! Our goal? To create a thriving, functioning landscape ecosystem that will be preserved in perpetuity for nature. 🐝🌿 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who’s supported us along the way - Wealden District Council, Laura Rumph and Simon Crichton of Triodos Bank, our advisors, Bruce Davis, Lucy Almond, and Mark Maslin, Antonia Mattinson and Dan Page MRICS FAAV MBIAC of Lambert & Foster Ltd, Ecosulis, TWM Solicitors LLP, Sussex Nature Partnership, The Ecology Partnership and FilmDuo. Also a big thank you to our supportive private investors (you know who you are). It feels very humbling to start this journey in restoring biodiversity and can’t wait to share updates as it unfolds. 🎉 We did it! 🎉 We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our first two biodiversity projects in Kent and E.Sussex. After months of hard work, we’ve finally unlocked the farm gates and are ready to embark on the next chapter of our journey. For those who’ve followed our story, you’ll know it’s been a whirlwind year since we started this venture. From 80-hour workweeks to juggling the roles of dads, husbands, and business partners, the journey has been nothing short of humbling. It’s tested our resilience, patience, and determination. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who’s supported us along the way—this milestone wouldn’t have been possible without you. We'd like to thank our advisors, Bruce Davis, Lucy Almond, and Mark Maslin, for their support over the past year. We are especially thankful to Laura Rumph and Simon Crichton of Triodos Bank for their collaborative spirit and perseverance in co-creating a workable lending model for these biodiversity projects - which also wouldn’t have been possible without the brains and Excel know-how of Arvo Hartikainen, Peter Harker and Jack Harley. We are delighted to be working with Tanya Narshi and Neil Melleney from Ecosulis, who have produced the Habitat Management and Monitoring Plans and are overseeing the habitat establishment works. Thank you also to Rebecca Tregarthen for helping to forge this relationship. We have been encouraged by the feedback from the Local Planning Authorities and Nature Partnerships on these projects. Thanks to David Scully, Kate Cole, Making Space for Nature in Kent and Medway, and Wealden District Council for spending time reviewing our proposals. Thank you also to Benedict Macdonald and Ross Wingfield for their early input on ecology. Thank you to Antonia Mattinson and Dan Page MRICS FAAV MBIAC of Lambert & Foster Ltd for their great communication and patience over the past few months.
