Tests have started on MEWSIC, the Royal Navy’s next-generation electronic warfare system being procured by the Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) arm of the UK Ministry of Defence. American defence firm and USV specialist Saronic Technologies has raised $600 million to build an autonomous vessels shipyard as it seeks to expand its range. Polish Navy minesweeper ORP Mamry is undergoing sea trials after the completion of a refit carried out by the PGZ Stocznia Wojenna shipyard. A Royal Norwegian Navy frigate will be among the ships accompanying Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales when she deploys to the Indo-Pacific this year.
