The increasing complexity of machine learning tasks and the proliferation of connected devices have fueled a shift towards cloud-based solutions like machine learning as a service (MLaaS). While this transition provides access to powerful models, it also raises significant privacy concerns due to data transmission over networks. To mitigate potential confidentiality and privacy issues, we have introduced a novel deep learning system tailored to create anonymized data representations while preserving accuracy for MLaaS tasks. Our system simplifies the approach, reduces complexity and fortifies against more sophisticated attackers compared to current state-of-the-art methods. Through rigorous testing, our system demonstrates effectiveness in anonymization with minimal computational demands, addresses more stringent adversary scenarios and outperforms benchmarks in privacy metrics. Our novel system enables businesses and individuals to benefit from MLaaS without compromising their data's confidentiality. The work is in collaboration with Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. At the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos this year, I had the privilege to join a panel discussion titled “Tech's Answer to Pollution,” where we focused on how technology can help overcome the problem of environmental pollution. This is an important theme that we need to seriously consider and address as part of developing sustainably.   I introduced how Japan overcame certain environmental pollution problems that arose during the course of its rapid economic growth, and discussed measures that companies can take in order to deal with environmental pollution issues around the world.   NEC Corporation contributes to improving conditions with solutions that include satellites equipped with optical sensors and data transfer based on blockchain technology. However, to address the problem more effectively, it is essential for action to be taken by society as a whole.
