Updates

  • We’re pleased to share the launch of the updated Health and Transport Action Plan for the NHS Grampian region. The plan builds on over 15 years of partnership, aiming to: 🚶♂️🚴♀️ Support people to walk, wheel, cycle or use other forms of active travel to stay healthy. 🌍 Reduce the impacts of the way we travel on our health and the environment. 🏥 Make it easier, and more sustainable, for people to get to health and social care services when they need them. Last year, schools across the region took part in our HTAP art competition, sharing their ideas about transport and health. We’re delighted to feature many of their colourful and lively artworks within the new document. You can read more about the action plan and the work of partners over on the Nestrans website. #HTAP2025 #HealthAndTransport #CommunityWellbeing #SustainableTravel #ActiveTravel #HealthOutcomes NHS Grampian Scottishambulance AberdeenCC Aberdeenshire Council @moraycouncil Community Transport Association Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action (TSI)

  • 🎉We’re working on exciting plans for next year and are looking for partners to help deliver active and sustainable travel behaviour change projects across #Aberdeen and #Aberdeenshire.   🚶➡️ 🚴♀️ 🧑🦽➡️ Have you got a project that can help people put walking, wheeling, and cycling at the heart of their everyday behaviours and daily journeys?   🚌 Are you working on something that can better connect those journeys to the public transport network, offering more sustainable alternatives to car travel?   💪 Are you a community group or social enterprise looking for support to empower active and sustainable travel among your communities?   Over the past few months we’ve been working with a fantastic range of partners, supported by Transport Scotland’s People and Place programme. You can read all about our 2024/25 projects and their work here: https://lnkd.in/daKaFiQ6   As we look towards 2025/26 we invite expressions of interest from partners who can join us to keep delivering improvements to active and sustainable travel across the north east.   You can find the full details and guidance on our People and Place Programme Plan, as well as an expression of interest form here: https://lnkd.in/d7dj9Qrp   📅 We’re looking for submissions by 3rd January 2025, but if you’d like to have an informal chat about an idea, please do get in touch before 20th December.

  • Today we're looking at improving access to health and social care as part of #CTWeek24, celebrating community transport across the UK with Community Transport Association. Volunteer drivers play a vital role in supporting community transport, helping vulnerable people to access health and social care. If you have free time and enjoy driving and helping people, then we’re looking for YOU! We are working together across a range of organisations to help recruit volunteer drivers who will: 🚌 Drive minibuses for community transport schemes. 🚗Drive their own cars to transport people (receive a mileage rate). 🙋 We also need people to act as escorts for some passengers. You can read more about what our Grampian Health and Transport Action Plan (HTAP) does to improve access to health and social care here: https://lnkd.in/epeA6gsT #HTAP #healthandtransportactionplan
