  • Last night, the NextGen Ri team and our Unitree Robotics Go2 robots were hard at work at an exciting STIQ Ltd (Styleintelligence) event, where we showcased the power and potential of robotic technology.   Our little powerhouses have put in some serious mileage lately, and they weren’t about to slow down. From practical, real world safety applications to data collection that drives smart decision-making, our Go2 bots sparked a lot of curiosity. They stirred up some big conversations around how robotics can genuinely improve productivity across industries, and yes, even our daily lives.   Our team showcased how, despite being a relatively new face in the robotics world, we’re ready to lead with fresh, accessible solutions that bring advanced tech within reach.   We shared our experience in rail and real-time monitoring, showing how predictive maintenance can transform efficiency and reliability. With strong support from Unitree, we’re bringing practical, innovative tools to the market, helping businesses make smarter, data-driven decisions.   It wasn’t just about us, though! We were thrilled to see what other companies are doing in fields like agricultural technology, marine robotics, and education. From data-driven farming to automation for inventory management, it was an action-packed evening filled with insights.

  • We had an unforgettable experience at the Lord Mayor’s Show last weekend.   Thousands gathered along the streets of central London to witness the world’s oldest civic procession, a tradition dating back to the 13th century. The NextGen Ri robotic dogs joined the parade, capturing smiles and curious glances from the crowd with their unique presence and signature waves. It’s not every day you see robot dogs walking alongside centuries-old traditions, but that’s what made this parade so special.   We’re proud to have been part of this iconic celebration, where innovation met history in the most delightful way.

  • Customer moment! Brian from KeyPlus Security recently picked up his new Go2 quadruped robot from us, ready to put it to the test in the security field. KeyPlus Security are looking to improve surveillance, provide instant alerts, and enable consistent, real-time monitoring. We can’t wait to see the difference Go2 will make.

We’re back from the IEEE MetroXRAINE 2024 conference, and wow, what an incredible experience.   Leading experts in eXtended Reality, Neural Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence came together, and we were right there, showcasing our range of Unitree quadrupeds.   The conversations at the conference made one thing clear: the field of robotics is evolving beyond conventional expectations. For a long time, robotics has been seen primarily as a tool for automating processes or replacing human effort. But today, the dialogue is shifting. Robotics isn’t just about automation anymore; it's about bridging the gap between human capability and digital transformation. The future of robotics is about collaboration, not replacement. Robotic technologies are here to empower us, break down barriers, and help us accomplish what we couldn’t do alone.

  • Lights, camera... action! The Go2 Pro is ready for its close-up!   Nathan from NextGen Ri is training our customer, SFX Supervisor, Keith from FilmSFX, on how to operate the Unitree Robotics Go2 Pro.   This robot dog is set to star in epic scenes, destined for a career in film and TV. Robotics bring a new level of versatility to filmmaking, offering filmmakers the flexibility, durability, and tools to create something amazing both behind and in front of the camera. Behind the scenes, they enable smooth, precise camera movements, repeatable shots, and safer filming in challenging environments. In front of the camera, robotics help bring characters and effects to life through animatronics, puppeteering, and practical props, adding realism to what we see on screen. Interested in exploring the possibilities of robotics in your own projects? We offer hands-on training packages for all our models.

  • Meet the Unitree B2 robot, a showcase of how far robotics has come in terms of agility, power, and adaptability. With its ability to leap across gaps up to 1.6 metres and navigate stairs and steep slopes with ease, this quadruped is designed for rugged environments where traditional machines struggle. Whether it's crossing ditches, climbing rocky terrain, or manoeuvring in unpredictable spaces, the B2 stays balanced and stable even in the toughest conditions. But it’s not just the climbing or jumping that impresses us. It’s how these features open the door to real-world applications—from industrial inspections to rescue missions in areas too dangerous for humans. Imagine the possibilities when a robot can carry up to 20 kg for hours or remain stable while supporting over 120 kg! At NextGen Ri, we’re excited about what this kind of versatility means for the future of robotics. Quadrupeds like the B2 are proving to be invaluable tools for solving problems in environments where flexibility and endurance are key.

  • Mud, mud and lots more mud! After an epic first test at Tarmac Shawell Quarry, we couldn’t resist sharing more of the Unitree B2 in action. Check out our all-terrain robot doing what it does best—tackling rugged landscapes with ease. And because no day in the field is complete without some fun, we even caught it getting a well-deserved wash after rolling through the mud.
