Calling all NHS GM staff. All we want for Christmas (and beyond) is to hear from you! We know how important it is that we communicate well with you. That’s why we evaluate our internal communications to make sure we are getting information to you in the best way for you. Head to the staff intranet to complete our latest internal communications survey. We want you to be honest as your views do make a difference. After your feedback from the last survey we made several changes including: - Better promotion of important topics and shorter articles in the ‘Keep Connected’ staff newsletter, with more detailed information on the intranet. - Introducing the ‘Take a Sec with an Exec’ leadership blog. - Making live leadership briefing more interactive. The survey is open until January 31.

Next week we’ll be focusing our efforts on supporting people across Greater Manchester to navigate health services over the bank holiday. We'll be sharing lots of information so they can: - be prepared for common illnesses with over-the-counter medicines - know the pharmacy Bank Holiday opening times - know the appropriate urgent care services including dental, eyecare and mental wellbeing. Important winter health message – please share and support! A tidal wave of flu infections has led to a 49% increase in hospital cases in Greater Manchester in the last seven days. In our news post published today – we are urging anyone eligible for flu (and other winter vaccines) to please get vaccinated as soon as possible. We want you to avoid “festive flu” when mixing over the Christmas break to protect the elderly and most vulnerable people in our communities. There are loads of places you can get vaccinated.
