Another varied week. I was near St Paul’s on Monday to deliver sales workshops to around 80 delegates at a ‘sellers day’. Great feedback from the session and requests for additional work - always a good sign! ‘I found your sessions to be invaluable’ ‘I thought both of the sessions were excellent’ ‘I just wanted to say a huge Thankyou for Monday’s session - it was brilliant…’ Wednesday saw me back in the City to deliver Workshop V of an ongoing programme with a major Insurer client. We looked at Objection handling - and more importantly objection prevention - as well as pipeline management. Apart from that, some webinars, some new and existing client meetings and some content preparation for the next few weeks. A week in the life - day three Today has included a couple more webinars with Insurance Institute clients. First ‘Building confidence and shifting state’ with The Insurance Institute of Preston and Blackpool IIPB. This empowering session aims to demonstrate to delegates that they are not just proverbial leaves blowing in the wind but can take back control of their ‘state’, and shift it to a more helpful state. This will be context specific - the state that will most help us in a learning environment for example will differ to the state that equips us best to make a presentation or cold call. I then supported my good friend and Nick Thomas & Associates Associate Ollie Martin delivering his session on ‘Live your dream’; the psyche component of Ollie’s ‘uncommon sense’ methodology. It has been great to welcome a couple of new Associates in recent months. One of these is Alan Tickner who brings a wealth of experience to the role over many years working in the industry. Alan now works as a consultant to a major construction firm and his work for Nick Thomas & Associates has initially focused on delivering our Introductory and Advanced sessions on #constructioninsurance as he builds his training experience. He is now spreading his wings and bringing his considerable expertise to bear in other areas. This week Alan delivered a great session on #ProfessionalIndemnity #PI insurance to #birminghaminsuranceinstitute Helen Holyoake that was again very well received by attendees.
