Today I'll be mostly training a group of Chartered Insurance Institute students for the CF8 Long Term Care exam. I don't do much exam training anymore but this is one where I can't refuse the call... such an important area for advisers to understand. We'll be mixing up the day between the exam knowledge needed to meet the FCA ApEx standard, and the real world knowledge to understand what a broken system we've got - and why you need to fight hard for your rights. Anyone considering taking the exam, I'd give you two pieces of advice: 1. Do it - and use it as an awareness exercise, so you know what you need to spot... 2. When you've done it, sign up to the services offered by My Care Consultant to go the extra mile and give you real depth of information about the current real world state of play...
