It was an absolute pleasure to embark on this short film project with Pablo Tranchell and Nisaba Charity this year. 'Another Home' is a series of short films in celebration of Refugee Week exploring the multi-faceted definitions of home, from a refugee perspective. We've teamed up with Bloody Good Period to address the demand for period products amongst their community partners supporting refugees and people seeking asylum by providing monthly donations of pads. People seeking asylum currently live on £49.18 per week - this is nowhere near enough if you're also bleeding. Period products are essential items that should be free and easily accessible. However, as the cost of living and buying period products increases, we're seeing an increase in the demand for period products. This can leave people seeking refuge and asylum having to choose between buying food and basic necessities over their period products, and no one should have to make these choices.

We had a memorable evening hosting #FromMigrationWithLove to celebrate Refugee Week and our one year anniversary. This safe space was held to invite voices of diverse refugee backgrounds, including children of Migrants to share and express stories of identity, belonging, creativity and cultural self-expression. #RefugeesAreWelcomeHere

On Saturday 22nd of June Discovery Planet and Arts in Ramsgate will both open their doors from 10am to 3pm to offer refreshments and a range of activities which explore the meaning of 'HOME', the theme of this year's Refugee Week. We'll show an artwork produced by young people attending Pie Factory Music's Open Arms project; some films including two short films made by Nisaba Charity; make friendship bracelets; listen to a story; have lunch and more....
